We’ve got our hands on the first movie trailer of the Tempest, the upcoming fantasy drama movie written and directed by Julie Taymor based on William Shakespeare’s play of the same name:

The Tempest movie is starring Helen Mirren, Russell Brand, Reeve Carney, Tom Conti, Chris Cooper, Alan Cumming, Djimon Hounsou, Felicity Jones, Alfred Molina, David Strathairn, and Ben Whishaw. The film will hit theaters on December 10, 2010.

Actor Channing Tatum got the lead role as a cop in Son Of No One, an upcoming drama thriller movie written and directed by Dito Montiel (who brought us Fighting which was also starring Tatum). The cast also includes includes Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan, and Juliette Binoche. The film should be released in 2011. Chaning Tatum grew a mustache for the movie Son Of No One, here’s a first look:

Plot:
“A young cop is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family.”

Since Dito Montiel is behind the film, I guess it’s going to be quite realistic. And since Al Pacino is part of the cast, we may expect a real police thriller movie.
