I just read that The Medium, the upcoming supernatural horror movie directed by Malaysian Filmmaker Brando Lee based on a script Alfie Palermo, will involve the Thai household divinity Kuman Thong.

Nothing set in stone yet, but I would not be surprised if there was a Pacific Rim 3 movie ahead of us. And the way the second film ended totally grants a third movie in the Pacific Rim franchise: the alien threat is still here after all.

A few words from Director Steven S. DeKnight who helmed the second film:

Unfortunately the studios still haven’t announced the new sequel, so I guess the project hasn’t been greenlit yet. But there’s hope I guess because the second film did gross $290 million worldwide for a $150 million budget. And am pretty sure the Pacific Rim franchise is performing well in its second life on DVD and VOD.

Anyway, do you have any suggestion for the plot of Pacific Rim 3? Should humans retaliate against the aliens’ homeworld in the third film? Tell us in the comments below!
