Dimension Films are happy with the first results of Piranha 3D in theaters and have announced that a sequel is in the works.

According to Director Alexandre Aja the sequel to Piranha 3D could head to Thailand:

“We had many ideas. There is the Full Moon Party in Thailand, a huge event with like 200,000 young people from all around the world taking mushrooms and partying on the beach.”

As long as I know there are no piranhas in Thailand… Besides the Full Moon party is taking place on Koh Phangan, an island in middle of the sea: kind of strange location for the sequel to Piranha 3D, since piranhas are freshwater fish (so they couldn’t survive long in seawater)… Well, maybe they will introduce some imported genetically modified piranhas. Anyway, as long as there are as many pretty girls as in the first film, you can sign me up for the movie Piranha 2.

Update – January 1, 2016 – Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO Bob Iger told Bloomberg that an Indiana Jones 5 movie is definitely coming. That said I doubt it will star Shia Labeouf… It will either focus on Harrison Ford or on some new actor.
