Julia Roberts got the lead role in the upcoming drama movie Eat Pray love.:
Not really excited by this film, but I’ll go watch for Julia Roberts!
:)
The official synopsis of the upcoming Green Lantern movie has been revealed by Warner Bros:
Plot of the Green Lantern:
“In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.”
The Green Lantern movie is directed by Martin Campbell and is starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, and Mark Strong. The film will be released on June 17, 2011.

Mankind’s supremacy on Earth will be challenged once again: there’s indeed a new prequel to the Planet of the Apes ahead of us. The film, titled Rise of the Apes, is directed by Rupert Wyatt and is starring James Franco as a scientist. The movie Rise of the Apes should be released on June 24, 2011.
Plot:
“Set in present day San Francisco, the film will follow a scientist (James Franco) working on a cure for Alzheimer’s and his test ape, Caesar. The experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”
This time around they won’t hire costumed actors to play the monkeys: the plan is to use CGI. That’s why Fox is partnering with Peter Jackson’s WETA, they intend to use the same technologies created for Avatar. So we may expect a quite realistic movie.
I was fan of the previous Planet of the Apes movie, so I definitely welcome the Rise of the Apes!

Warner chairman and CEO Barry Meyer said that a live action Wonder Woman movie is in development. There was talk of a Wonder Woman movie since quite a while, but nothing official. So I’m glad to hear that the execs at Warner Bros really want to carry out the project. No official plot nor release date yet though..
Of course fans didn’t wait for Barry Meyer’s confirmation to look for the right actress to play the role of Wonder Woman:
Unfortunately Megan Fox as Wonder Woman is unlikely to happen. Megan Fox dissed the superheroin Wonder Woman not long ago:
But she isn’t attached anymore to the Transformers franchise. So there still hope!
Is there any other actress who would look the part as Wonder Woman?

Two more TV spots of Twilight 3 Eclipse:
A new stylish poster for The Killer Inside Me:
I totally dig this new trailer of The Expendables:
Take a look to the first poster of Shanghai, the upcoming period thriller movie directed by Mikael Hafstrom:
James McAvoy (who had the lead role in Wanted) will play as the young Professor X in the upcoming X-Men First Class movie.
Plot:
“Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.”
Matthew Vaughn will be helming the project. The movie X-Men First Class will be released on June 3, 2011.

The release date of Sherlock Holmes 2, the upcoming movie sequel to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, has been announced: the film will be released on December, 16 2011.
From what I heard the plot is likely to move from London to the European continent, in France and maybe Switzerland. Oh and by the way, the beautiful Rachel MacAdams, who played as Irene Adler, Sherlock Holmes’s tricky love interest in the first film, will be back for Sherlock Holmes 2!
