Take a look to the first poster of Shanghai, the upcoming period thriller movie directed by Mikael Hafstrom:
James McAvoy (who had the lead role in Wanted) will play as the young Professor X in the upcoming X-Men First Class movie.
Plot:
“Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.”
Matthew Vaughn will be helming the project. The movie X-Men First Class will be released on June 3, 2011.

The release date of Sherlock Holmes 2, the upcoming movie sequel to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, has been announced: the film will be released on December, 16 2011.
From what I heard the plot is likely to move from London to the European continent, in France and maybe Switzerland. Oh and by the way, the beautiful Rachel MacAdams, who played as Irene Adler, Sherlock Holmes’s tricky love interest in the first film, will be back for Sherlock Holmes 2!

You have to train very hard if you want to be the Karate Kid:
Here’s what Director Michael Patrick King recently said about a potential Sex and the City 3 movie:
And here’s what Kim Cattrall replied when asked about SATC 3:

Well, I pretty Sex and the City 2 is going to be a hit, so I bet the studios will push for a new sequel. So I think we may fairly assume that there’s going to be a Sex and the City 3 movie, and sooner than later because the girls are kind of getting old…

This new banner of Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables show the movie’s impressive cast:
Seems like Hollywood is desperately looking for new sources of inspiration: there’s a live action Dilbert movie ahead of us! Yep, the satirical comic strip that poke fun at the corporate world is going to make it to the big screen.
Plot:
“Dilbert portrays corporate culture as a Kafkaesque world of bureaucracy for its own sake and office politics that stand in the way of productivity, where employees’ skills and efforts are not rewarded, and busy work is praised. Much of the humor emerges as the audience sees the characters making obviously ridiculous decisions that are natural reactions to mismanagement.”
Director Ken Kwapis (who helmed a few episodes of the Office) has been hired to helm the project. I can understand the choice, but I’m not sure I agree with it… Dilbert is way deeper than The Office. Need someone damn talented to make a successful adaptation of Dilbert! And who could play the role of Dilbert? And what about Dogbert? Are they goign to use CGI for Dilbert’s pet dog?
Anyway, today I did nothing and still got paid! What about you?

Do you remember MacGyver the popular TV series from the 1980s? yep, that guy who just needs junk and a Swiss army knife to build bombs or anything else. Richard Dean Anderson had the title role as MacGyver before switching to Stargate later on. Well, Warner bros announced that they’re planning a movie adaptation of MacGyver.
The screenplay of MacGyver movie will be written by Scriptwritter Jason Richman . And I guess MacGyver creator Lee Zlotoff will give him a hand. No confirmation yet if Richard Dean Anderson will be on board. I doubt he will get the lead role (come on he’s too old! and if you’d watch last week episode of Stargate Universe you’d know he’s getting fat) but I still hope he will do cameo of some sort.
