Director Ridley Scott wants to make two new movie prequels to Alien. He revealed a few plot details:
“As we speak, I’ve got a pile of pages next to me; it’s like the fourth draft. It’s a work in progress, but we’re not dreaming it up anymore. We know what the story is…It’s set in 2085, about 30 years before Sigourney [Weaver’s character Ellen Ripley]. It’s fundamentally about going out to find out ‘Who the hell was that Space Jockey?’ The guy who was sitting in the chair in the alien vehicle — there was a giant fellow sitting in a seat on what looked to be either a piece of technology or an astronomer’s chair … Our man [Tom Skerritt as Captain Dallas] climbs up and says “There’s been an explosion in his chest from the inside out — what was that?” I’m basically explaining who that Space Jockey — we call him the Space Jockey — I’m explaining who the space jockeys were … [The film] is about the discussion of terraforming — taking planets and planetoids and balls of earth and trying to terraform, seed them with the possibilities of future life.

Director Shyamalan is convinced it can be done well… I’ll still stick to the non-3D version though… Cheaper ticket, and much better quality!

The release of the Green Hornet movie has been pushed back to January 14, 2011… Less competition on this new slot…
I heard that Sony’s execs aren’t that happy with Michel Gondry’s take on the Green Hornet, and that they’re disappointed that Seth Rogen doesn’t really look the part. That’s probably why they prefer to avoid competition. But officially they’re saying it’s because they’re ocnverting the movie into 3D. The fatty Seth Rogen in 3D: what an exciting perspective!

The much awaited sequel to Monsters Inc has been confirmed via Variety. Disney Pixar even told them the release date: the movie Monsters Inc 2 is set to be released on November 16, 2012.
No official plot yet, but according to the rumor a grown-up Boo who’s forgotten the monsters would go back to Monstropolis… Boo in Monstropolis 2… yep sounds like Alice in Wonderland 2… Let’s hope for something different…
