It’s been officially confirmed by the CW Network: we may expect Smallville Season 10 for Fall 2010! They even promise that this new tenth season of Smallville will be a momentous season! I’m so glad to hear that: I definitely dig the ninth season and would have been sad to see Smallville coming to an end… And the new plot development totally justifies a new season.

Yahoo has premiered online the movie trailer of Legend of the Guardians, the upcoming fantasy animated movie directed by Zack Snyder:

Since the film is based on the children’s book series Guardians of Ga’Hoole, we shouldn’t be surprised to see here a kid movie (yeah it’s epic, and we will get to see some fighting poultry), but I was hoping for something better from Zack Snyder. The movie Legend of the Guardians is a bit of a let down so far…

Director Zack Snyder has been working on Legend of the Guardians, an upcoming animated movie based on the first three book (The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue) of the popular children’s fantasy book series Guardians of Ga’Hoole. The story revolves around Soren, a young barn owl. The release date of Legend of the Guardians is set for September 24, 2010.

I’ll wait for the movie trailer of Legend of the Guardians, which will be shown in front of Alice in Wonderland, to have a better understanding of what to expect… Those pictures and the plot aren’t enough for me to get excited about the movie Legend of the Guardians… Is it a movie for kids? Or will it have a broader appeal? I guess if Zack Snyder (who once brought us 300) is directing the film, it will be interesting, but let’s wait for the trailer first.

The movie After Life is starring Liam Neeson, Justin Long, Christina Ricci and Chandler Canterbury. It is directed by Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo.

The cast of Death Race 2 has been announced. The film is starring Luke Goss in the lead role as Frankenstein, Ving Rhames, Sean Bean, Danny Trejo, Frederick Koehler and Lauren Cohan. Director Roel Reine will helm the project based on a script by Tony Giglio. Death Race 2 will actually be a prequel to the Death Race movie starring Jason Statham.

Universal also gave away the synopsis of Death Race 2:

Plot:
“‘Death Race 2’ takes place in the very near future, as the United States economy begins to decline and violent crime starts to spiral out of control. To contain the growing criminal population, a vast network of for-profit, private prisons springs up, creating a lawless subculture ruled by gangs, cold-blooded killers and sociopaths. Unfortunately Death Race 2 won’t have a theatrical release… It will be released directly to DVD, so I’m a bit worried regarding the quality of the movie because I guess the budget of Death Race 2 will be limited…
