Ong Bak 3 movie with Tony JaaONG BAK 3

The biggest fight of all is with himself

Sahamongkol Films also released the following plot details about the new film:

Plot of Ong Bak 3:
“The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved step-father at the Garuda’s Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) and the Kana Khone villagers. Deep into the meditation taught by Phra Bua (Nirutti Sirijanya), Tien finally is able to achieve ‘Nathayut’. His talents are put to the test again when his rivals including the Golden-Armored King’s Guard (Supakorn ‘Tok’ Kijusuwan), the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha (Dan Chupong) return for the final massive showdown.”

So as promised, Ong Bak 3 will be a direct movie sequel to Ong Bak 2! I wonder how they’re gonna close the loop with the first Ong Bak movie. Maybe in they’ll focus on that in Ong Bak 4?

Anyway, here’s a short video in which Tony Jaa briefly speaks about Ong Bak 3: Continue reading »

That’s Awesome! Panic Attack Short Film

Panic Attack MovieUruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez worked on Panic Attack, a sci-fi short film that revolves around the invasion of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, by giant robots. He released his short film on youtube two weeks ago, and it’s going viral since:

PANIC ATTACK!

It is said that the short film PAnic attack was made on a shoestring budget of only $300! That’s a damn ridiculous amount for such an impressive result! New technologies are really empowering independent filmmakers! Continue reading »

Beastly Movie Trailer

Beastly MovieThe first official movie trailer of Beastly, the upcoming fantasy drama movie starring Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mary-Kate Olsen, has been released:

BEASTLY

Plot:
“When a spell is cast on a handsome egocentric young man (Alex Pettyfer) that physically transforms him into everything he despises, he has one year to find a young woman (Vanessa Hudgens) who will love him despite his hideous form or the spell will last forever.”

The movie is based on Alex Flinn’s book of the same name. Some are touting this film as a potential competitor to Twilight, but it’s unlikely to perform as well… Still the movie Beastly may interest, if not convert, a significant part of the Twilight fans.

I suppose ET visited the set of Knight and Day when the crew was still in the USA. But they have since moved to Sevilla in Spain. Here’s a clip of Knight and Day, it was taken by a passer-by on his phone cam:

Looks like Tom Cruise is hell bent on doing all the stunts of Knight and Day himself.

Letters to Juliet Movie Trailer

Letters to Juliet MovieLetters to Juliet is an upcoming romantic drama movie directed by Gary Winick and based on the book written by based on the novel written by Lise and Ceil Friedman. The film is starring Amanda Seyfried (who plays in Mamma Mia! and Jennifer’s Body), Gael Garcia Bernal, Vanessa Redgrave, and Christopher Egan. It will be released on May 7, 2010.

Here below the movie trailer of Letters to Juliet:

LETTERS TO JULIET

The greatest love story ever told is your own

Plot:
“An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered ‘letter to Juliet’ — one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the ‘secretaries of Juliet’ — and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.”

The plot of Letters to Juliet is kind of generic. But maybe the goal is not to tell an edifying story, I actually suspect the movie Letters to Juliet to be a shameless promotion for the beautiful landscapes of Italy where the film takes place. Because now I want to book a flight ticket to go there!
