The Yellow Handkerchief is an upcoming romantic drama movie directed by Udayan Prasad. It is starring Kristen Stewart, Eddie Redmayne, William Hurt and Maria Bello. The film is set for a limited release on on February 12, 2010.

Here below the official movie trailer of The Yellow Handkerchief:

THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF

Plot:
“A love story at its core, THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF is about three strangers of two generations bound by loneliness who reach out to one another. After embarking on a road trip through post Katrina Louisiana, their relationships forge and change in a myriad of ways, leading to the possibility of second chances. Brett Hanson (William Hurt) dealing with a painful past, crosses paths with a lonely and troubled teenager Martine (Kristen Stewart) and her new ‘ride’ Gordy (Eddie Redmayne). The trio head out together, each motivated by reasons of their own. Martine yearns to escape her family, Gordy hopes to get closer to Martine and Brett must decide whether he wants to return to the uncertainty of the life and the woman he left behind, his ex-wife May (Maria Bello).”

The Yellow Handkerchief is a human movie about real people and about their emotions, it’s a road movie about life!

Kristen Stewart as Martine in The Yellow Handkerchief

For those who are wondering: The Yellow Handkerchief was filmed in 2007, before the twilight mania boosted Kristen Stewart’s movie career. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008, and is now getting an official release.

Planet 51 Movie

Planet 51 – You speak my language!

Plot:
“In this family film, an alien planet, stuck in the culture of the 1950’s, finds its barely-repressed paranoia kick-started into high gear when Chuck, a NASA astronaut, arrives without warning and turns their world upside down.”

Hollywood usually avoid raising this issue: but hell it’s less than unlikely that aliens would speak English on a first contact… Wonder how the movie Planet 51 is going to explain where those aliens learned to speak English.

“Bella is like instinctually in need, she can’t live without Edward.”

This quote definitely proves that Kristen Stewart perfectly understands her character’s psyche in the Twilight Saga New Moon. I wonder if she has been briefed by Stephenie Meyer from the start.
