Richard Gere wanst to tell us the true story of Hachiko the Akita dog in the upcoming movie Hachiko A Dog’s Tale, aka Hachi:

Plot:
“A college professor (Richard Gere) takes in an abandoned dog and they form an unbreakable bond. After the professor dies while away from home, the dog keeps vigil waiting for his master for nearly a decade.”

I wonder if that’s really Richard Gere’s dog or just a dog chosen for the movie because on this poster there seems to be so much affection between them: incredible!

Akita dogs look really cute, but I prefer my good old Labrador even if he drives me crazy like in ‘Marley and me‘ sometimes.

Abel Ferrara who directed the original Bad Lieutenant movie in the 1990’s is badmouthing this new Bad Lieutenant movie. But judging from the material released so far, Werner Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant is going to be a great movie on its own. And Nicolas Cage’s charisma really shines in this movie even if he’s playing the role of an antihero.
