Lionsgate has decided to go 3D for the movie SAW VII. The third dimension will add a new twist to Jigsaw’s legacy. It takes longer to prepare the production of a 3D movie. This may explain why David Hackl is back to direct Saw 7 instead of Director Kevin Greutert who’s been helming Saw 6: just conflicting schedules, with Kevin Greutert still working on Saw 6.
Scriptwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton are in charge of writing the seventh Saw movie. And I guess they will swiftly find a way to integrate 3D into the realm of Jigsaw’s traps for the movie Saw VII.

Following the success of Spanish horror film [REC], Directors Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza signed on for a movie sequel. Watch below a first movie trailer of Rec 2:
[REC 2]
Plot synopsis:
“The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.”
Rec 2 isn’t just a playback of the first movie: sure it’s the same claustrophobic concept but there is still a lot to show! Anyway let’s pray for the SWAT team, because those zombies inside the quarantined building are madly hungry…

Get ready for the darkest hour of Clark Kent! Smallville season 9, which is probably the last season, will most likely show how the Red-Blue Blur hero becomes the Superman we know!
Below a first trailer of Smallville Season 9:
Promo Blurb:
“Returning for its ninth season, last season Smallville was filled with twists and surprises, starting with the disappearance of Lex Luthor. However, someone quickly arrived to take his place โ the enticing Tess Mercer, who reconnected with her old flame Oliver Queen, discovered Clark’s true identity and unleashed a new world of danger. Clark also met his greatest match โ Doomsday. When Clark wasn’t busy battling the beast, he was knee-deep in work at the Daily Planet. As Clark’s persona as the cub Planet reporter emerged, so did his feelings for Lois Lane, the fated lvoe of his life.
The series stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen and Cassidy Freeman as Tess Mercer. Reinterpreting the Superman mythology from its roots, Smallville was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar based on the DC Comics characters. The series is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television. SUPERMAN was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Director Neill Blomkamp and Actor Sharlto Copley presents the upcoming sci-fi movie District 9 in this new promo featurette:
Looks damn real, but no need to rush on CNN (I almost did)! It’s just a movie. No alien spaceship landing in South Africa or anywhere else in the world. Maybe better like this anyway: don’t think we would have the kind of DDT required to get rid of such giant alien locusts!
The movie District 9 hits theaters on August 14, 2009.
