GI Joe Cobra Commander

At long last but not least, we may have a look to Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander / The Doctor in the upcoming live-action GI Joe movie:

GI Joe International Trailer

James McCullen aka Destro (portrayed by Christopher Eccleston)
Weapon Supplier
The arrogant, egotistical founder of MARS Industries is, like his ancestors, a brilliant designer of military weapons that he sells to the highest bidder. His greatest treasure is a metal mask that has been passed down through his family for generations

Cobra Commander aka the Doctor (portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
Scientist
Devious brilliant leader of Cobra demands complete allegiance from his followers as he works toward his ultimate goal of controlling the world. COBRA COMMANDER hides a deadly secret few others know, just as his mask covers disfiguring damage from a fiery accident.

I’m not sure about who’s the real boss in the movie: is it the Doctor or James McCullen? Maybe this GI Joe movie shows the rise of the Doctor before he becomes Cobra Commander?

Mortal Kombat 3 Movie (Abandoned project)

We aren’t finished yet with lethal fatalities: Director Christopher Morrison, aka Mink, is indeed working in the shadow to bbring us a new Mortal Kombat movie. Following the relative disaster of MK2 it’s not an easy task to garner enough attention and cash to launch Mortal Kombat 3. But it looks like he may have found his way at the end: actor Chris Casamassa, who played in the first Mortal Kombat movie, innocently said principal photography of a new Mortal Kombat movie would start in September 2009.

More information at: Mortal Kombat Trailer

IMDb is listing the movie nder the title of Mortal Kombat for a release in 2010. But no real clue about what this new Mortal Kombat movie will be about… Is it a Mortal Kombat movie sequel? Or a reboot of Mortal Kombat?

A Mortal Kombat movie going all CGI would be better than a live action film though… Only CGI could really render the gorgeous fatalities from the game on screen!

Robin Hood movie with Russell Crowe

Director Ridley Scott and Actor Russell Crowe, who once amazed us with Gladiator, team up again for Robin Hood, an upcoming movie based on the legendary character. The film was originally titled Nottingham, but it has since switched to Robin Hood which is easier to sell to the man in the street. Along Russel Crowe as Robin Hood the cast also includes Cate Blanchett as Lady Marion as Robin Hood’s love interest and Mark Strong as Sir Godfrey, King John’s henchman.

Robin Hood by Director Ridley Scott

Take a look to this picture of Russell Crowe as Robin Hood:

Denis as Robin Hood - Ridley Scott's Robin Hood
Plot:
“In the film, Robin (Russell Crowe) is an archer in Richard the Lionheart’s army, and the villains are the French. This version of the character was abandoned as a child and has problems trusting people. After Richard’s death, Robin returns to Nottingham, becoming an outlaw and trying to win the heart of the widowed Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett). Producer Marc Schmuger said this is about how Robin Hood became an outlaw and this is how those guys became the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest.”

The release date of Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood is set for May 14, 2010.

New Trailer of District 9

In the movie District 9 mankind is gonna make close encounters of the Third Kind! The aliens will even live among us as refugees. Well, not exactly among us, actually those sentient beings will be restricted to District 9, the shanty town they landed on. Watch below the latest full length trailer of District 9:

District 9 Trailer

DISTRICT 9

They came 28 years ago.

Coexistence has never been easy
Why won’t we let them leave?

Call me anti alien but hey if this was to happen, I hope that we could extort (or better, trade) as many new technologies as possible from the District 9 aliens!

SyFy Stargate Universe

SyFy will launch Stargate Universe, aka SGU, this October. Here below thw latest trailer of SGU:

New Stargate Universe Trailer

Stargate Universe – Survive
This October, Syfy reinvents the wheel

Don’t really understand why they’re adding a new series in the Stargate franchise… A few more seasons of SG1 and SGA would have been much better. But, can’t really complain, at least I’ll get my Stargate fix again!
