So yep, Top Gun 2 is under works it’s titled Top Gun Maverick, and sounds like filming (day 1?) is under way! So you better get your aviators ready!

The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski based on a script by Peter Craig, Justin Marks, Eric Warren Singer.

The release date of the movie Top Gun 2 Maverick is set to July 12, 2019.

The official plot is still kept under wraps. But some plot details have surfaced online:
– the film focuses on an action heroin named Anna (portrayed by Sasha Luss)
– the story involves Russian assassins
– Luke Evans is a KGB assassin
– and Helen Mirren plays his boss.

Director Luc Besson is also touting the film as a blend of “Nikita and “Léon”, two of the most emblematic movies of his career.

The cast also includes Eric Lampaert, Eric Godon, Pauline Hoarau, Avant Strangel, Mikhail Safronov, Jan Oliver Schroeder, Réginal Kudiwu, Christophe Tek, Adrian Can, Rupert Wynne-James, William Sciortino, Zac Andianas, and Maxence Huet.
