They sink their savings into renovations only to get an unfortunate surprise – the title to the property has been contested and might be sold at public auction, with the family’s arch nemesis, menacing Conrad Baines, poised to take over the land in the name of ‘economic development’. Finally, in a last-ditch effort to avoid financial ruin, and perhaps save their tenuous relationship, Tom and his teenaged son join forces with old time racer ‘Dirty Harry’ Hawkins and enter the Dirt Track Grand National and try to win the race and the ultimate prize, their family’s legacy.”
