Waiting for Dali Movie

Waiting For Dali MovieCheck out the official plot synopsis of Waiting for Dali, the upcoming drama comedy movie written and directed by David Pujol and starring Óscar Jaenada and Alec Baldwin:

Plot synopsis:
“Barcelona, 1975: a city of boiling dissent against a dictator’s regime.
Two brothers, rebellious activists in nature and chefs by trade, are forced into hiding in Cadaqués, an idyllic coastal village and home of legendary artist Salvador Dalí.
The little streets of Cadaqués are home to Dalí’s surrealist imagination and also a ramshackle beachside restaurant, where the gorgeous Lilianne rescues the brothers by finding them work.
Employed by her wildly eccentric father Julian (Alec Baldwin), Fernando (Óscar Jaenada) is intoxicated by Dalí’s fantastic creations and increasingly so by Lilianne.
Julian’s obsessive mission to entice Dalí to dine at his restaurant unleashes Fernado’s genius and ambition to create a lifetime culinary masterpiece for the greatest living master himself.
Yet Dalí remains elusive, and whilst Alberto continues to stir unrest, Fernando falls madly in love with Lilianne.
And when Fernando serves up a revolution all of his own making, Dalí can no longer resist… and the planet’s greatest restaurant, El Bulli, is born!
A sun-drenched love story that celebrates and fuses genius; with a rich emotional voice that
grabs life and lives it to the full!”

Imagination sets you free.

Written and directed by Jessica Swale.

Plot synopsis:
“A love-story set in the timeless and enchanting world of Summerland; sun-dappled days spent outdoors by the sea over one achingly beautiful summer.
Fiercely independent writer Alice (Gemma Arterton) secludes herself in her study: occupied by her work but also profoundly lonely, haunted by a love affair from her past.
When spirited young Frank, an evacuee from the London Blitz, is dumped into her irritable care, his innocence and wonder awaken Alice’s deeply buried emotions.
Bravely embracing life’s miraculous unpredictability, Alice learns that wounds may be healed, hope and second chances do exist, and any woman must defiantly be two things: who and what she wants.
From Britain’s strongest new voice, the Olivier Award winning breakthrough writer/director Jessica Swale, Summerland inspires our audience with daringly honest and contemporary themes – an intensely emotional journey of womanhood and self-discovery, love and friendship.”

Wild Nights With Emily Movie - Molly Shannon and Susan Ziegler

Plot synopsis:
“Wild Nights With Emily is the story of the secret life of Emily Dickinson (played by Molly Shannon). The poet’s persona, popularized since her death, is that of a reclusive spinster — a delicate wallflower, too sensitive for this world. After Emily died, the mistress of Emily’s brother would publish Emily’s poems. A fierce rivalry between Emily’s beloved and her brother’s mistress (Amy Seimetz) in making known the work of this great poet is also the story of two sets of passionate, illicit lovers in a mysterious struggle for a place in history.”
