Here’s a first official look at Stephanie, the upcoming supernatural horror thriller movie directed by Akiva Goldsman based on a script by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski and starring Shree Crooks, Anna Torv, and Frank Grillo:

Plot synopsis:
“The film is set in the not-too-distant future when, following a global crisis, the titular young character (Shree Crooks) is left alone in her remote home while a dark supernatural force looms in the background. After her mother and father return to claim her, the malevolent power spins out of control.”

What is that mysterious entity from the plot synopsis? A ghost? A demon? Something else?

There’s a new trailer for Coco, the upcoming CG fantasy animated movie directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina for Disney Pixar:

The song in the background, “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by the verve, kind of sounds out of place for a movie so rooted in Day of the Dead lore… Maybe a Mexican or Latino song would have been more appropriate?

Anyway, the film will open in theaters on November 22, 2017.
