Actress Helen Mirren is playing the lead role as Sarah Winchester in Winchester, the upcoming horror mystery thriller movie directed by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig based on a script they co-wrote with Tom Vaughan.

Plot synopsis:
“The film follows firearm heiress Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren), who’s convinced that she’s haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester repeating rifle. After the sudden deaths of her husband and child, she throws herself into the construction of an enormous mansion designed to keep the evil spirits at bay. Furby, the furry robotic toy looking like like the bastard child of a hamster and a owl, is going to make it to the big screen! Yep, get ready for Furby The Movie. TWC-Dimension and Hasbro are indeed developing a feature film based on the little creature. It should be a mix of CGI and live-action footage (like the Alvin the Chipmunks movie franchise). Plot details are still kept under wraps though, so we don’t really know what to expect.
