(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

A Prayer Before Dawn Movie

Plot synopsis:
“In Klong Prem there are ten rules. If you break them you will almost certainly die. If you don’t break them you will definitely die. This is the true story of Billy Mooreʼs incarceration in one of Thailand’s most barbaric and deadly prisons where life has no value – Klong Prem, the notorious Bangkok Hilton.
Refusing to die, Billy masters the lethal martial art of Muay Thai Boxing. If he can survive the ring, he can survive anything. A PRAYER BEFORE DAWN is the shocking story of a manʼs descent into hell and his incredible journey to redemption.”

A few words from Director Jean-Stephane Sauvaire about Actor Joe Cole

“Joe Cole is just the kind of committed young actor this project has been looking for – he will totally inhabit this exciting and demanding role, which combines a survival story with the thrill of Thai boxing.”

From the director of “Johnny Mad Dog”.

The Devil’s Candy Movie

We’ve got our hands on the first official pictures of The Devil’s Candy, the upcoming supernatural horror movie directed by Australian Filmmaker Sean Byrne (who previously helmed “The Loved Ones“) and starring Ethan Embry, Shiri Appleby, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Kiara Glasco:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

The Devil's Candy movie

Plot synopsis:
“Metal music, wet paint, and family are the passions of Jesse (Ethan Embry), a struggling painter who lives a happy life with his wife, Astrid (Shiri Appleby), and their preteen daughter, Zooey (Kiara Glasco). And things look even brighter when Jesse and Astrid are able to put in a bid on their dream home: a huge property in rural Texas with a barn big enough for a proper art studio. After the trio moves in, Jesse’s work starts taking on a new, considerably darker flavor –and things get even more ominous when Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), the hulking, clearly unbalanced son of the deceased former owners, appears on the doorstep one night, clutching a red electric guitar and asking to ‘return home’. It soon becomes clear that Ray and Jesse are both being influenced by the same satanic forces and that Jesse’s family won’t be safe until they find a way to quiet the Devil himself.”

The plot synopsis just reminded me of French Philosopher Simone de Beauvoir’s quote: “Art is an attempt to integrate evil”.

Anyway, am curious to see Ethan Embry’s performance as an artists possessed by the devil!

The film has yet to get an official release date.
