Batman from the Lego movie will have his own spin-off feature film. Director Chris McKay is in charge of the project based on a script by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Actor Will Arnett is set to once again lend his voice to Bruce Wayne aka Batman. The voice cast also includes:
– Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth
– Rosario Dawson as Batgirl / Barbara Gordon
– Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange
– Michael Cera as Robin / Dick Grayson
– and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

The release date of The Lego Batman Movie is set to February 10, 2017.

Director Michael Bay aka the king of explosions was mulling leaving the Transformers movie franchise but he had a change of heart. He just confirmed to Rolling Stone that he will helm the fifth installment. But he also added that Transformers 5 would be his last one that he wants to pass the reins of the alien robots franchise to someone else.

Am glad to hear Michael Bay is staying on board for Transformers 5! Nothing set in stone yet regarding the following sequels, but I guess this time around Michael Bay will indeed abandon the director’s seat once he’s done with the fifth film. He will likely keep an eye on the franchise as producer though.

Transformers 5 will be released in theaters sometime in summer 2017.
