Trailer of Chappie starring Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, and Sigourney Weaver

Check out this brand new trailer of Chappie, the upcoming science-fiction movie from Neill Blomkamp and starring Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, Sigourney Weaver, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and Ninja and Yolandi Visser (yep the rap duo ‘Die Antwoord’):

CHAPPIE
Plot:
“Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.”

I don’t really expect Chappie to bring anything really new to the genre (the film is just like a darker take on Short Circuit with elements borrowed from other movies)… but am still waiting with impatience for this film: Director Neill Blomkamp already proved he’s a science-fiction expert and his sci-fi movies are damn entertaining!

The film will open in theaters on March 6, 2015.
