Director Michael J. Basset (who directed Solomon Kane) is set to direct Silent Hill 2 Revelation, the movie sequel to Silent Hill. Here’s the plot of Silent Hill Revelation:

“The sequel follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run – always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.”
Hmm, sounds like this new Silent Hill movie is actually based on the game Silent Hill 3.
By the way, the movie Silent Hill 2 will be in 3D.

The first one was pretty good, although like all computer game movies, it could have been better.
I for one am a big fan of making movies out of computer games. The one thing i don’t understand is, if a game already has a gripping story line then why change it… It happens so many times :(

Hopefully this one will be good enough to wear the name ‘Silent Hill’
