“Who are we without the people we love?
Lila (Talia Balsam) has built a life of fragile tranquility around her family. Shortly after her teen daughters leave for summer adventures, her husband (Scott Cohen) of two decades unexpectedly announces the birth of a child with another women, and Lila tests her bonds to her best friend GIGI (Andrus Nichols) and begins a friendship with a younger man (Michael Oberholtzer).
Set in the lush span of a single summer, the film is a portrait of a woman at a moment of loss and reconfiguration. Interwoven into the fabric of Lila’s journey, are her children, friends, and neighbors. As Lila’s world falls apart, those who count on her, likewise come undone.”
She doesn’t waste crying on her unfaithful husband, and find a younger man in no time… well I say good for her, life is too short, seize the day!
