Straw Dogs is a remake of the 1971 classic about violence in England. The remake will replace the English town with the American South. In the movie L.A. screenwriter David Sumner (James Marsden) relocates with his wife Amy Sumer (Kate Bosworth) to her hometown in the deep South. There, while tensions build between them, a brewing conflict with locals becomes a threat to them both, especially the conflict with Amy’s ex boy friend Charlie (Alexander Skarsgard).

The movie will be released on September 16, 2011. It’s directed by Rod Lurie and starring Alexander Skarsgard as Charlie, James Marsden as David Sumner, Kate Bosworth as Amy Sumner, Dominic Purcell as Niles and Willa Holland as Janice.
