Actor Richard Gere joined the cast of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2, the upcoming comedy movie sequel directed by John Madden. Here’s the plot synopsis:

Plot:
“The story picks up where the first film left off, and features Indian hotelier Sonny (Dev Patel) prepping for his marriage to Sunaina (Tena Desae).
And two hopeful new arrivals (Richard Gere and Tamsin Greig) at The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful quickly learn that there is only a single room left to rent.”

Besides Richard Gere, the cast also inlcudes Tamsin Greig, David Strathairn, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Dev Patel, Celia Imrie, Ronald Pickup, Penelope Wilton, Diana Hardcastle, Tena Desae, and Lillete Dubey.
