Let’s watch the first official trailer of The Gambler, the upcoming crime drama thriller movie remake directed by Rupert Wyatt and starring Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Lange, and Brie Larson:

Both an English professor and a high-stakes gambler, Bennett bets it all when he borrows from a gangster (Michael Kenneth Williams) and offers his own life as collateral. He plays both sides, immersing himself in an illicit, underground world while garnering the attention of Frank (John Goodman), a loan shark with a paternal interest in Bennett’s future. Well, The Gambler does look like a solid thriller movie. And I do want to see Mark Wahlberg’s performance, but am even more impatient to see John Goodman’s performance as a loan shark!
