A first official look at The Seagull, the upcoming drama movie directed by Michael Mayer and based on the 1895 play by Russian dramatist Anton Chekhov:
“The Seagull centers on the romantic and artistic clashes between fading actress Irina Arkadina (Annette Bening); fresh-faced ingénue Nina Zarechnaya (Saoirse Ronan); famous writer Boris Trigorin (Corey Stoll), Irina’s lover; and failing playwright Konstantin Treplyov (Billy Howle), Irina’s son who is in love with Nina. All four come up against one another while visiting a country estate owned by Sorin (Brian Dennehy), Irina’s brother.”
I bet Saoirse Ronan will totally steal the show and eclipse the other actors, lol!
The film has yet to get an official release date.
