A plot synopsis for Triple Frontier (aka Mules), the upcoming adventure crime drama movie directed by J.C Chandor based on a script he co-wrote with Mark Boal and starring Ben Affleck, Adria Arjona, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac, and Sheila Vand:
“Loyalties are tested when five friends reunite to take down a South American drug lord, unleashing a chain of unintended consequences.”
The film’s title, “Triple Frontier”, refers to a tri-border area along the junction of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, where the Iguazú and Paraná rivers converge, and which is known as a hub of organized crime and smuggling.
