Director James Mangold is set to helm The Deep Blue Good-By, an upcoming adventure drama thriller movie based on a script by John D. MacDonald, Kario Salem, and Scott Frank and adapted from the novel series by John D. MacDonald. Here’s the film’s plot synopsis:

“Travis McGee is a self-described beach bum who won his houseboat in a card game. He’s also a knight errant who’s wary of credit cards, retirement benefits, political parties, mortgages and television. He only works when his cash runs out and his rule is simple–he’ll help you find whatever was taken from you, as long as he can keep half. McGee isn’t particularly strapped for cash, but how can anyone say no to Cathy, a sweet backwoods girl who’s been tortured repeatedly by her manipulative ex-boyfriend Junior Allen? Christian Bale was once attached to the project, we don’t yet if he’s back on board.

We heard about a possible live-action movie adaptation of M.A.S.K. a few years ago, but the project fell on the wayside. Well that is until now. Director F. Gary Gray (who helmed Fast and Furious 8 aka The Fate of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton, and Law Abiding Citizen) has indeed been hired to helm the film!

Plot synopsis:
“Matt Trakker leads a team of elite special agents called M.A.S.K., each member specializing in a particular skill and is equipped with a unique, high-tech helmet. They have been brought together to stop Miles Mayhem and his terrorist organization known as V.E.N.O.M. Both teams pilot state-of-the-art machines which look like regular passenger vehicles, but can convert into an aresenal of mobile assault weapons.”

There’s a fourth xXx movie under works. yep, get ready for xXx 4! Actor Vin Diesel will yet again reprise his role as Xander Cage. And Director D.J. Caruso who helmed the third film will also return to direct the new sequel based on a script by Rich Wilkes (he the script of the first film and and co-wrote the script of the third).

No official plot synopsis yet, but Director D.J. Caruso hinted at what direction the new sequel might take:

Filming of xXx 4 will start in December 2018. So we may hope for a release end of 2019 or early 2020.

Colin Trevorrow who wrote the scripts of Jurassic World and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is set to helm the third installment in the rebooted Jurassic Park franchise. Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will of course return as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively in Jurassic World 3.

Unfortunately there is no official plot synopsis yet. But Director Colin Trevorrow had this to say about the plot of Jurassic World 3:
