The Wolf Hour Movie

Naomi WattsHere’s the official plot synopsis of The Wolf Hour, the upcoming psychological thriller drama movie written and directed by Alistair Banks Griffin and starring Naomi Watts:

Plot synopsis:
“The story delivers Hitchcockian tension in a densely layered world with a role that will exploit every fiber of Academy Award nominee Naomi Watt’s emotional range as an actor.
June (Watts) was once a celebrated counter-culture figure, but that was a decade ago. She now lives alone in her fifth floor South Bronx apartment, having all but cut herself off from the outside world. It’s the notorious ‘Summer of Sam’ and June only has to look out of her window to see the violence escalating with the brutal summer heat.
The city is on a knife’s edge, a pressure-cooker about to explode into the incendiary 1977 New York blackout riots.”

“Summer of Sam” refers to David Berkowitz, an American serial killer who murdered six people in New York City in 1976–77, claiming he received orders from a demon-possessed dog…

“A heart-warming comedy set in glorious Tuscany. The ever-charismatic Bill Nighy plays bohemian London artist Robert, who returns to Italy with his estranged son Jack (James Lowden) to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. Neither expects to find the once beautiful villa in such a state of disrepair…
Renovations go badly, and father and son find themselves at odds – not for the first time. Robert’s comical lack of DIY experience leads him to seek help from some colorful locals, but for Jack, the state of the house seems to mirror his search for memories of happier times with his mother. Then Jack falls for Natalia, a vivacious young Italian chef, who restores both body and soul with delights from her local trattoria – until the pair find themselves under threat from Natalia’s jealous and menacing ex-husband.
As Robert and Jack painstakingly restore the villa to its previous glory, they also start to mend their relationship. The future may now look quite different and surprise them both.”

On her 30th birthday, she decides to do just that.
Enters Ted, AKA the perfect guy. They hit it off. He’s unlike any man she’s been with – he’s sweet, he’s fun, he’s supportive. His lactose intolerance is even kind of cute. Sure, he’s not Jewish, so her mother might not approve, but otherwise he’s a catch. Things escalate and the next thing Jane knows, she’s moving in with him.
Meanwhile, the bodies arriving at the morgue look familiar to Jane, like that rude waiter at the diner where she and Ted first had breakfast, or that mean taxi driver who refused her a ride. When she comes face to face with the body of her landlord who wouldn’t end her tenancy, she starts to wonder if this is just a huge coincidence or if Ted might be hiding something. And if he is… is being in a loving relationship with a serial killer worse than going back to being a single woman in her 30s?”

Would you keep dating the serial killer or would you ditch him/her?
