The Black Version Movie

The Black Version of Wedding MoviesCheck out the plot synopsis of The Black Version of Wedding Movies, the upcoming comedy movie directed by Lance Crouther and Jordan Black and starring Cedric Yarbrough, Nyima Funk, Daniele Gaither, Gary Anthony Williams, Phil La Marr, and Jordan Black:

Plot synopsis:
“An African-American spin on the stereotypical ‘white people’ wedding movie.
Marilyn, an unlucky-in-love businesswoman, has yet to find the perfect guy to marry. Her solution? A staged wedding with the perfect groom followed by a quickie divorce! — what could possibly go wrong? Well for starters, falling in love with the ‘groom’, when you’re not supposed to. And wanting to stay married, when he’s got other weddings to do. Even worse, not realizing that ‘Mr. Right’ may actually be the guy hired to be the Best Man. ‘The Black Version of Wedding Movies’ takes the familiar wedding formula and turns it into something fresh, modern and, most important, outrageously funny.

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Playmobil Movie

Playmobil MovieThere’s a playmobil animated movie ahead of us. Yep, the German toy line wants to make it to the big screen like its Danish competitor Lego. The film is titled “Playmobil: Robbers, Thieves & Rebels”. Director Lino DiSalvo is in charge of the project based on a script by Blaise Hemingway. A few words from the director:

Lino DisalvoI’ve learned most of my skills by growing up in the Disney system; I was very fortunate to work on films like ‘Tangled’ and ‘Frozen‘. I am thrilled at the prospect of developing the Playmobil film. As a father and a filmmaker, to create a film about your son’s favorite toy, what else do you want?

Director Lino DiSalvo

“Spanning the early 1950s through the mid-’60s, this coming-of-age story is about a young girl’s first love. In this case, her first love is God. Raised by a deeply caring, non-religious mother, Cathleen is drawn to the heady mysticism of the lives of Catholic nuns and their undying romantic devotion to their chosen husband, Jesus Christ. She enrolls in a training program with The Sisters of Blessed Rose, a cloistered convent. As Cathleen progresses from the postulant to the novitiate levels of her tutelage, her faith is challenged by the harsh, often inhumane realities of being a nun, just as Pope John XXIII’s announcement of the Second Vatican Council threatens to alter the course of nuns’ lives forever.”

If those nuns are Jesus’ wives, then God’s son is a polygamist, isn’t he? lol!

There’s no official release date yet.
