Here’s a first official look at Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour, the upcoming drama History war movie directed by Joe Wright based on a script by Anthony McCarten:

Plot synopsis:
“Within days of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman) must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or standing firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation. I can hardly recognize Gary Oldman here, well, actually I don’t! What an incredible transformation!

The release date of the movie Darkest Hour is set to November 24, 2017.
