But he can only maintain his popular jock facade for so long, as his troubled father Lee (Michael Shannon) has a gambling addiction that threatens to derail his dreams both on and off the court.”

Indiana Jones 5 Movie Release Date

An official release date has been announced for Indiana Jones 5: the film will open in theaters on July 19, 2015. Actor Harrison Ford will of course reprise his iconic role as Indiana Jones. And Director Steven Spielberg, who helmed the four previous films, will helm the new movie.

A few words from a top executive at Disney:

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios

Harrison Ford is getting old though… Are they going to introduce some new blood to the franchise? Or will they find someone to take over the role of Mutt Williams, Indiana Jones’ son who was portrayed by Shia Labeouf (whose performance in Indiana Jones 4 hasn’t been really welcome by the franchise’s fans)? I kind of wish they would reboot the franchise with a new actor taking over the lead role though…

Plot synopsis:
“Amidst the lavish excess of the 1980s, Robert Musella (Bryan Cranston) became a pivotal player for drug lords cleaning their dirty cash. He traded on mob connections to become the confidant to scores of the international underworld, and the bankers who enabled them.
However, Robert Musella was in fact the undercover persona of Special Agent Robert Mazur: a US customs official who went further than any before him. Laying his life on the line, he infiltrated the globe’s largest cartels and discovered just how deep into society their influence extended. Welcomed into an inner-circle of violence and corruption Mazur found himself in the tight embrace of those he had promised to take down.”

They should have titled the film “When Heisenberg met Escobar”, lol. Yep, we love Breaking Bad! Anyway, am sure Bryan Cranston will nail the role.

“It at first seems to be an ordinary morning on the job for a group of Americans working for a not-for-profit in a modern office building in Colombia. After noticing that their Colombian colleagues have not arrived for work, office worker Mike (John Gallagher, Jr.) spots some unfamiliar security guards entering a large hangar nearby. Moments later, an icy voice comes over the building’s PA system and calmly explains that the employees must kill a certain number of their co-workers — if not, they will be killed themselves. While the boss (Tony Goldwyn) tries to calm the troops, Mike belatedly realizes that something truly sinister is going on — and when metal doors come sliding down on all the building’s exits and windows, it becomes clear that friends and colleagues are now suddenly enemies in a bloody and brutal battle to the death.”
