THE CONFIRMATION

Plot:
“A down and out carpenter is offered a job that could turn his life around only to have his irreplaceable toolbox stolen. Now he must track down the thieves before the weekend is over with an unlikely partner – his young son (Jaeden Lieberher) whom he’s disappointed one too many times.”

Feeling like you recently saw Jaeden Lieberher somewhere? Well the young actor had a lead role along Bill Murray in the 2014 comedy movie St. Vincent.

There’s no official release date yet.

The Journey movie

Here’s a first official look at The Journey, the upcoming drama movie directed by Nick Hamm and starring Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney, Toby Stephens, Freddie Highmore, and John Hurt :

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“Forty years of violence, 3500 deaths, two implacable enemies – and 52 miles to bring a lasting peace to Northern Ireland…THE JOURNEY is an inspiring, heartwarming and at times hilarious fictional account of the extraordinary story of two implacable enemies Ian Paisley (Timothy Spall) and Martin McGuiness (Colm Meaney), forced to take a short journey together in which they will take the biggest leap of faith and change the course of modern Irish and British history. It is at this moment that the future of Irish and British history is altered, as two sworn enemies put their past actions behind them and begin to forge a friendship that would lead to them being known as The Chuckle Brothers.”

I don’t much about those two chaps, so the film is welome!

The film should be released sometimes in 2016.

The 5th Wave Poster – Can we survive the 5th wave?

There’s yet a new poster for The 5th Wave, the upcoming adventure science-fiction thriller movie starring Chloe Grace Moretz

(Click on the poster to enlarge.)

The 5TH WAVE

Can we survive the 5th wave?

Plot:
“In the new film The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Chloe Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.”

Am glad to see Chloe Grace Moretz in a leading role in The 5th Wave, but I’d rather see a movie about Hit-Girl.

The film will hit theaters on January 15, 2016.

Update – two additional posters:

Incarnate movie starring Aaron Eckhart

Take a look to the first official picture of Actor Aaron Eckhart in Incarnate, the upcoming supernatural horror thriller movie directed by Brad Peyton (who helmed San Andreas) based on a script by Ronnie Christensen:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“Confined to a wheelchair after a horrific accident, Dr. Seth Ember (Aaron Eckhart) is an ‘Incarnate’ — gifted with the rare ability to delve into the minds of possessed people in order to exorcise their demons from the inside out. When the Vatican enlists him to exorcise a particularly troubled young boy, Ember is shocked to discover inside him the same evil spirit responsible for the death of his wife and child years before. Now, with the young boy’s life in his hands and his own personal redemption at stake, Ember desperately searches for a way to destroy the demon before it kills him and unleashes its terror upon the world…”

An exorcist in a wheelchair? What’s next? An exorcist who suffers from tetraplegia? Anyway, am willing to give the film a try since it’s starring Aaron Eckhart.

Besides Aaron Eckhart, the cast also includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, David Mazouz (yep, the boy who plays the role of Bruce Wayne in the TV series Gotham), Carice van Houten, Keir O’Donnell, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Karolina Wydra, Matt Nable, Emjay Anthony, and Mark Henry.

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Desierto Movie

We’ve got our hands on a first official picture of Desierto, the upcoming drama thriller movie directed by Jonas Cuaron (who brought us Gravity) based on a script he co-wrote with Mateo garcia:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“Moises (Gael García Bernal) travels with a group of immigrants through an unguarded, hellish section of the Sonoran desert trying to cross into the United States, when suddenly, a shot rings out- they fall into the sight of Sam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a deranged vigilante who is taking border laws into his own hands, shooting off the immigrants one by one. A sinister cat and mouse chase begins, set against the backdrop of this brutal yet beautiful landscape, and Moises must find a way to outwit his hunter in order to survive and not become another victim of this forsaken land.”

Do you bet on Gael García Bernal or Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who’s been cast to play the role of the villain Negan in the Walking dead TV series by the way!)? Who’s going to win the game?

More pictures from the film in this interview with the crew:

TIFF: ‘Desierto’ Star Gael Garcia Bernal Says “There is No Place to Hide in the Desert”

Southside With You Movie – When Barack Obama met Michelle!

Here’s a first official look at Parker Sawyers as Barack Obama and Tika Sumpter as Michelle Robinson in Southside With You, the upcoming biography romantic drama movie written and directed by Richard Tanne:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“A delicate and charming romantic journey, inspired by romantic classics such as Before Sunrise, SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU tells the story of Barack and Michelle Obama’s first date. In the summer of 1989 Michelle and Barack were simply two fresh-faced college graduates starting their lives and their law careers in Chicago. After much prodding from Barack, Michelle finally agrees to attend a community meeting with him in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood as friends. What starts as a platonic day out – ends with a kiss and the beginning of a journey to the White House.”

Well, Actress Tika Sumpter does look like Michelle Obama. But I don’t see Barack Obama in Parker Sawyers… Do you?

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Anyway, stay tuned with us for more details about the movie Southside With You.

4 Clips of The Big Short

The Big Short – You hate your job.

Plot:
“When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: the Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.”

From chaos comes order I heard, but well the financial world prefers to thrive in the grey area where both order and chaos compete.

The film is starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt.

Release date: December 11, 2015.

London Fields Movie

Thanks to IM Global here’s a first official look at London Fields, the upcoming fantasy drama thriller movie directed by Mathew Cullen based on the cult novel of the same name written by Martin Amis:

London Fields movie

While Nicola focuses on becoming the subject of each of their desires, she has a premonition that one of them is her murderer.LONDON FIELDS is a lavish and highly stylized story of passion and despair, an intoxicating tale of lust, obsession, and power that depicts what men want most… and what they will do to get it.”

Who do you think is the murderer: Jim Sturgess or Theo James?

The cast includes Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Cara Delevingne, Jaimie Alexander, Jason Isaacs, Jim Sturgess, Gemma Chan, Lily Cole, and Craig Garner.

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Hacksaw Ridge Movie – Andrew Garfield as a conscientious objector

We’ve got our hands on a new picture of Andrew Garfield as Army Medic Desmond T. Doss in Hacksaw Ridge, the upcoming biography drama movie directed by Mel Gibson:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Andrew garfield Haksaw Ridge movie

Plot:
“The true World War II tale of the epic battle to take the infamous Japanese stronghold, HACKSAW RIDGE. The unlikely hero who turned the tide of the violent and bloody battle was a soldier who refused to bear arms, American Army Medic Desmond T Doss (Andrew Garfield), whose heroism turned him from a pariah to a hero in the eyes of his fellow soldiers, and led him to become the first Conscientious Objector in American history to win the Congressional Medal of Honor.”

Well Actor Andrew Garfield sure does look the part as a combat medic on the battlefield, doesn’t he?

Still no official release date.
:)

Liam Neeson – Silence Movie

Thanks to Variety here’s a first official look at Actor Liam Neeson as a Jesuit priest in Silence, the upcoming drama History movie directed by Martin Scorsese:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“In the seventeenth century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests (Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver) face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor (Liam Neeson) and propagate Christianity.”

He looks more like some aging rock star than like a Jesuit priest. What do you think?

The film will released in theaters sometime in 2016.

The Neon Demon Movie

Here’s a first official look at The Neon Demon, the upcoming horror thriller movie written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“When aspiring model Jesse (Elle Fanning) moves to Los Angeles, her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has.”

That picture of Elle Fanning with all that blood splattered all over her reminds of the final scene in Carrie.

There’s no official release date yet.

Xavier Gens' The CrucifixionHere’s a first official look at The Crucifixion, the upcoming horror mystery thriller movie directed by Xavier Gens (who helmed The Divide) based on a script by Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“When a priest is jailed for the murder of a nun on whom he was performing an exorcism, an investigative journalist strives to determine whether he in fact murdered a mentally ill person, or if he actually lost the battle with a demonic presence.”

The faceless chap in the black suit reminds me Edvard Munch’s painting “Der Shrei der Nature” (the scream).

Anyway the cast of The Crucifixion includes Sophie Cookson, Corneliu Ulici, Brittany Ashworth, Matthew Zajac, Florian Voicu, and Radu Banzaru.

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Moonwalkers Movie Trailer

You may watch below the trailer of Moonwalkers, the upcoming comedy movie directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet and starring Rupert Grint, Ron Perlman, and Robert Sheehan:

MOONWALKER
Plot:
“What if Apollo 11 never actually made it? What if, in reality, Stanley Kubrick secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the US administration?
This is the premise of a totally plausible conspiracy theory that takes us to swinging sixties London, where a stubborn CIA agent (Ron Perlman) will never find Kubrick but instead is forced to team up with a lousy manager (Rupert Grint) of a seedy rock band to develop the biggest con of all time.”

How did Ron Weasley escape from the world of Harry Potter?

The release date of Moonwalkers is set to January 15, 2016.
