A first official look at Villains, the upcoming dark comedy thriller movie written and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen and starring Bill Skarsgård, Maika Monroe, Jeffrey Donovan, Kyra Sedgwick, Blake Baumgartner, Noah Robbins, Danny Johnson, and Nikolas Kontomanolis:
“When a pair of amateur criminals break into a suburban home, they stumble upon a dark secret and two sadistic homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.
Mickey (Bill Skarsgård) and Jules (Maika Monroe) are lovers on the run, headed southbound for a fresh start in the Sunshine State. When their car dies after a gas station robbery, they break into a nearby house looking for a new set of wheels. What they find instead is a dark secret, and a sweet-as-pie pair of homeowners (Kyra Sedgwick and Jeffrey Donovan) who will do anything to keep it from getting out.”
Well, should we root for the thieves or for the sadistic couple? Why?
