Marvel shared a new concept art poster (first revealed at the comic con) of Guardians of The Galaxy, the upcoming science-fiction superhero movie directed by James Gunn:
Plot:
“A jet pilot (Chris Pratt) gets stranded in space, and must unite a diverse team of aliens to form a squad capable of defeating cosmic threats.”
The guardians are Marvel’s equivalent to the Green Lantern Corps from the DC universe.
Movie cast:
– Chris Pratt as the human Peter Quill aka Star-Lord
– Zoe Saldana as Gamora, a green skinned humanoid
– Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, a human resurrected as a green warrior with the sole purpose of killing Thanos
– Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser
– Michael Rooker as Yondu
– Karen Gillan as Nebula
– Djimon Hounsou as Korath
– Benicio del Toro as The Collector
– John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, the leader of Nova Corps
– Glenn Close as Nova Prime
From what I heard, Thanos, the alien villain seen in the after-credits scene of The Avengers, will show up in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. According to the online rumor Vin Diesel (Dom from the Fast and Furious franchise) could play the role of Thanos. but take this with a pinch of salt for now…

Thanks to I Am Rogue here’s the video of the conference panel at the comic con:
The release date of Guardians of the Galaxy is set for August 1, 2014.
:)
We also have a new picture showing Carrie and Tommy Ross (played by Ansel Elgort) heading to the senior prom:
And here’s a look at Carrie White’s family genealogy:
“It’s apparent that while the TK gene may skip a generation, it is possible for it to resurface somewhere down the line. Also, of note is the presence of the TK gene on BOTH sides of Carrie’s family.”
Did the telekinetic gene ever surface in your family?
The after-credits scene from the Avengers kind of hinted at Thanos as the next villain in the Avengers movie sequel. But it sounds like there’s been a change of plan (or was the scene actually introducing Thanos as the villain of another movie set in the world of Marvel? Or even as the villain of an ulterior Avengers sequel?): the next Avengers movie is indeed titled Avengers Age of Ultron. Check out the official title logo below:
Plot:
“The sequel to Marvel’s The Avengers will pit the superhero team against Ultron, a vicious robot hellbent on conquering the world.”
There’s a comic book series titled Age of Ultron, but the plot is bogged down by too much time-travel complexity. It’s unlikely that the film will be faithful to that storyline, but some elements may be borrowed.
It would be nice if the Avengers 2 could bring Spider-man and Wolverine on board like in the Age of Ultron comic book series. But then would Fox, who owns the movie rights to those characters, allow the crossover?
Anyway what do you think of Marvel’s choice? Is the robot Ultron the right villain for the Avengers 2? Share your thoughts below!
The release date of Age of Ultron is set for May 1, 2015.

Plot:
“The story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.”
Would you go crazy if you were locked in solitary confinement for 20 years? And if you were to escape, what would be the first thing you’d do once out?
Plot:
“The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.”

Machete is recruited by the President of the United States (Charlie Sheen) for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a cartel leader, Mendez the Madman (Demian Bichir), who threatens to fire a missile on the US. Machete foils Mendez’s plot only to find that the missiles are remote wired to and triggered by the madman’s still beating heart. The only man who can disarm the missile is eccentric billionaire arms dealer, Luther Voz (Mel Gibson), who has hatched a plan of his own to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on Voz and his army in order to dismantle his master plan for global anarchy.”
Demian Bichir does look like a mad man on this poster!
