He finds a glimmer of hope in the mysterious, über-cool and beautiful Raphina (Lucy Boynton), and with the aim of winning her heart he invites her to star in his band’s music videos. There’s only one problem: he’s not part of a band…yet. She agrees, and now Conor must deliver what he’s promised – calling himself “Cosmo” and immersing himself in the vibrant rock music trends of the decade, he forms a band with a few lads, and the group pours their heart into writing lyrics and shooting videos. Inspired by writer/director John Carney’s (ONCE, BEGIN AGAIN) life and love for music, SING STREET shows us a world where music has the power to take us away from the turmoil of everyday life and transform us into something greater.”

Norm of the North Film 2016 - Save the Arctic!Norm (Rob Schneider) and Olympia (Maya Kay) are scheming to save the Arctic in this new preview clip of Norm of the North, the upcoming CG adventure comedy animated movie directed by Trevor Wall:

Norm of the North – You’re saving the Arctic.
Plot synopsis:
“A polar bear of many words, Norm (Rob Schneider)’s greatest gripe is simple: there is no room for tourists in the Arctic. But when a maniacal developer threatens to build luxury condos in his own backyard, Norm does what all normal polar bears would do…he heads to New York City to stop it. With a cast of ragtag lemmings at his side, Norm takes on the big apple, big business and a big identity crisis to save the day.”

Learn more about the main characters of Norm of the North thanks to those profiles:

– Actor Rob Schneider as Norm:

Norm

Norm is an atypical polar bear in his 30’s. He is destined to be future king of the arctic yet lacks the traditional necessities. Traits that are typically only found in humans, norm possesses. He speaks, dances, and emotes like a real human being. He is forced to determine whether these traits are a gift or a curse.

– Actress Heather Graham as Vera:

Vera

Vera is a gorgeous, extremely talented marketing executive at Greene Homes. She is a good person working for a bad man. As a single mother, Vera cares more about her daughter’s success and happiness then her own. This makes her an easy target for Greene’s manipulations.

– Actor Bill Nighy as Socrates:

Socrates

Socrates is the sarcastic, wise arctic sage. His world travels have made him jaded. Though he seems to lack a filter and his words tend to be harsh, he truly wants to guide norm in the proper direction. He is one of the only ones that sees norm’s potential to be future king.

– Actress Maya kay as Olympia:

Olympia

Olympia is Vera’s pre-teen genius daughter. Her wisdom stretches far beyond her years. Though she is typically the youngest in the group, she is by far the smartest. She is constantly bestowing bits of helpful information, tips, and suggestions on those around her.

– Actor Ken Jeong as Mr. Greene:

Mr. Greene

Mr. Greene is a skinny new age executive turned guru with long charcoal hair. He is owner and creator of Greene homes, a high- class real estate development company that builds homes in distressed areas.
