Kyle XY is coming back next week for the third season. Here below the first two minutes of ‘It Happened…’, the first episode of the new season of Kyle XY:
In a single moment everything can change.
Other good news: heard about a possible season 4 of Kyle XY! With only 12 episodes season 3 would seem quite short, so I can be but happy when hearing about Kyle Season 4!
Thanks to Io9 I just spotted that the premiere of Kyle XY Season 3 is already freely available online (only from the US though, I feel sorry for our international friends…):
Last February Ryan Reynolds was surrounded by beautiful women in Definitely Maybe. This year, he’s got a proposal he can’t refuse that’s coming from the pretty Sandra Bullock. Take a look to this extended movie trailer of The Proposal:
I’ll go with my wife watch this romantic comedy: I’ll tell that’s for having some time with her, but actually I’d go alone to watch the Proposal if she wasn’t interested in the movie!
;-P
The release of the movie Watchmen will probably be postponed… Greedy Fox is quite jealous of Warner Bros’ success and recently asked a judge to block the release! What a negative buzz for 20th Century Fox… But even if the movie is delayed and Fox happens to prevail at the end, I would still go see the Watchmen. Damn this movie looks too awesome for one to miss it! Just have a look to this Watchmen featurette in which Director Zack Snyder gives an overview of the movie and in which he presents the characters of the Watchmen universe:
– Patrick Wilson as Daniel Dreiberg / Nite Owl: A retired vigilante superhero with technological experience.
– Jackie Earle Haley as Walter Kovacs / Rorschach: A superhero who continues his vigilante activities after they are outlawed. He was transformed over time from a “soft” costumed hero into a killer who sees the world in black and white.
– Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre: A retired vigilante superheroine. Akerman described her character as the psychology and the emotion of the film due to being the only woman among the men.
– Billy Crudup as Dr. Jon Osterman / Doctor Manhattan: A superhero with genuine powers who works for the U.S. government.
– Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias: A retired vigilante superhero who has since made his identity public.
– Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake / The Comedian: A vigilante superhero who is commissioned by the U.S. government.
– Stephen McHattie as Hollis Mason: The first vigilante to take up the mantle of Nite Owl.
– Carla Gugino as Sally Jupiter: A retired vigilante superheroine, mother of Laurie Juspeczyk and the first Silk Spectre.
– Matt Frewer as Edgar Jacobi / Moloch the Mystic: An elderly rehabilitated criminal, known when he was younger as an underworld kingpin and magician.
– Niall Matter as Mothman: He is not a main focus of the storyline, but appears in flashbacks, at one point reduced in his later years to fragile sanity, unnerving the second Silk Spectre. He is regarded fondly by most of the Minutemen, and the first Nite Owl sends the second to visit him, uncostumed, on his behalf.
– Dan Payne as Dollar Bill: A first-generation crimefighter who caught his cape in a revolving door during a bank robbery and was shot to death.
– Danny Woodburn as “The Big Figure”: A dwarf crime boss whom Rorschach put in prison.
Director Zack Snyder made a hell of a job on this movie. Let’s pray for Fox and WB to reach an agreement as soon as possible: we are all waiting for the Watchmen!
:)
I should have asked a Segway last Christmas because Paul Blart the mall cop (Kevin James) seems to have a lot of fun riding one of those engines in this preview clip of the upcoming comedy movie Paul Blart Mall Cop:
Lately Segway is getting some good coverage from Hollywood, before Mall Cop, it was John Favreau director of Iron man who was riding this electric vehicle (–> Jon Favreau loves his Segway).
Below a second clip of Paul Blart Mall Cop:
Paul Blart (Kevin James) must have been trained by James Bond himself!
:)
The plot of the movie Good revolves around a German professor (Viggo Mortensen) whose novel about a mercy killing brings him to the attention of the Nazi Party, which now wants him to write a treatise on euthanasia justifying the Final Solution. Here below a few preview clips of Good:
What would you do if a threatening man wearing a gas mask and holding a pickaxe would be heading toward you? I bet you would run away like those kids in this clip of My Bloody Valentine (I know would run twice as fast…):
Susan Murphy (aka Ginormica): I think I just got hit by a meteorite…
Some ugly aliens want to invade our dear planet. But fortunately the government is smart enough to hire some funny monsters to protect the children of Earth!
Below the main characters of the movie Monsters vs Aliens:
Ginormica, Dr. Cockroach Ph.D., Bob, The Missing Link team up to fight against Gallaxar!

Directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are bringing us Crank 2 High Voltage , the sequel to the previous Crank movie. And Jason Statham is reprising his role as hitman Chev Chelios. This time Jason Statham is definitely on high voltage: he’s literally chasing his heart! The movie is set for a release in April 2009.
Here below the first official red bandmovie trailer of Crank 2 High Voltage:
Update 2: looks like Jean didn’t contact Trailer Spy, the Crank 2 trailer is still available: –> here
Update 1: we had to take down the Crank 2 trailer following this:
We need to get the CRANK 2 red band trailer down— it’s copyrighted footage, and it shouldn’t have been released yet. Additionally, this trailer has not been approved by the MPAA, so Lionsgate could face severe penalties if it’s not taken down immediately.
Please take this down immediately.
Jean from Lionsgate
CRANK 2 HIGH VOLTAGE
Next we’ll take his lungs…
then his kidneys…
then his…
Update 3: The official trailer has finally shown up:
CRANK 2 HIGH VOLTAGE
Plot:
“Hitman Chev Chelios (Statham) launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered heart that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.” (Source: Wikipedia)
The pace of Crank 2 is as heartbreaking as in the first opus: I’ll need to make sure I took my beta-blockers before going to watch this movie in a theater!
The movie is anticipated to receive an R rating by the MPAA based on an interview with Amy Smart. She was photographed brandishing taped nipples and disclosed that her character Eve has become a pole dancer.
And the naughty boys and girls will be glad (I am) to know there will be another public sex scene with Jason Statham; this time taking place on a horse racing track.
Jason Statham rules, he looks crazier than ever! Prepare your heart for Crank 2 High Voltage!
:)
G-Force is a comedy adventure movie with a sci-fi twist about the latest evolution of a covert government program to train animals to work in espionage (absolutely no link with Gatchaman G-Force Battle of the Planets). The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Walt Disney Pictures, with Director Hoyt Yeatman at the helm. And Sam Rockwell, Nicolas Cage, Tracy Morgan and Penelope Cruz are lending their voices to G-Force. The movie should be released Summer 2009.
Here below the first official movie trailer of G-Force:
Plot:
“A specially trained squad of guinea pigs is dispatched to stop a diabolical billionaire from taking over the world. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Tapped for the G-Force are guinea pigs Darwin (voice of Sam Rockwell), the squad leader determined to succeed at all costs; Blaster (voice of Tracy Morgan), an outrageous weapons expert with tons of attitude and a love for all things extreme; and Juarez (voice of Penelope Cruz), a sexy martial arts pro; plus the literal fly-on-the-wall reconnaissance expert, Mooch, and a star-nosed mole, Speckles (voice of Nicolas Cage), the computer and information specialist.”
That’s a movie that will definitely appeal to younger audiences. Not sure that grown-ups will love it though…
I bet many kids will ask for their own guinea pigs when the movie G-Force is out. So if you bring your kids to watch G-Force: expect them to bargain for a new pet at home! Not sure I’ll bring my kids: rodents would destroy the wood floor!

The movie trailer of Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li, aka Street Fighter 2, has been released in Japan. No English subtitles, but if you’re as curious as I am then you will not mind. Enjoy this Street Fighter movie trailer:
This movie trailer of Street Fighter looks quite appealing: Kristin Kreuk does look to fit the job as Chun Li. I’m quite impressed by her skills in martial arts: she must have learned alot for this new Street Fighter movie.
An English trailer of Street Fighter should show up quite soon.

In early December Jason from Nuke The Fridge wen to a test screening of the movie trailer of GI Joe Rise of Cobra. Here his description of the GI Joe trailer he saw:
Update: the superbowl trailer of GI Joe Rise of Cobra is now available:
[…] What can I say about it? Well, it was horrible. No, actually it was worse than horrible.
The trailer begins with some jets zooming by and dropping some bombs. Then we see Dennis Quaid as Hawk talking to members of a new elite fighting force he says has been put together to fight terrorism.
We see a couple of terrorist attacks, some G.I. Joe guys dressed like Snake Eyes jumping out of a plane and the Eiffel tower being topped by what looks like some green ooze.
Next we see some quick shots of a number of characters like Scarlett, Channing Tatum’s Duke on a motorcycle, Sienna Miller as the Baroness sliding down a staircase railing, and a quick shot of Snake Eyes and Stormshadow fighting. About the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow fight…it looks about as bad as a fight from the “Double Dragon” movie from the early 90’s.
Finally we get another quick editing job of some action sequences that go by really too quick to make anything out, and then finally there is this really lame sequence featuring some horrible CG work, as a couple of rockets are launched at some Joes dressed again to look like Snake Eyes. They do this dive / twirl through mid air where they some how avoid the rockets as they swirl by.
The “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” title appears on screen followed by “Summer 2009.” In all the trailer was about a minute long. I was told they are testing the trailer for debut as a possible Super Bowl commercial.
There was no footage of Destro, Zartan, or Cobra Commander. More than likely because they look so bad, based on the above described footage. From the trailer, it looks like this is going to be a horrible movie. Way too cheesy for my taste anyways.
So I suspect that the Super Bowl is when we will be seeing this first teaser trailer. […]
The movie being scheduled for August 2009 then a trailer during the 2009 Super Bowl in February would be a good timing I agree. I’m impatient to see this GI Joe movie trailer myself: the description above isn’t appealing, but I have hope that the production team is taking into account the results of the test screenings and that the final version of the Superbowl trailer of GI Joe Rise of Cobra will be better.

Comments Off on State of Play Movie Trailer with Russel Crowe and Ben Affleck
Director Kevin Macdonald has tackled the movie adaptation of British TV series State of Play. The plot of the six hour mini-series has been condensed to fit two hours, and the location changed to Washington, D.C. In the lead cast: Ben Affleck and Russel Crowe, respectively as a young politician and an investigative journalist. The movie State of Play is scheduled to be released on April 17, 2009.
Here below the first official movie trailer of State of Play:
STATE OF PLAY
Plot:
“Handsome, unflappable U.S. Congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) is the future of his political party: an honorable appointee who serves as the chairman of a committee overseeing defense spending. All eyes are upon the rising star to be his party’s contender for the upcoming presidential race. Until his research assistant/mistress is brutally murdered and buried secrets come tumbling out.
McCaffrey (Russel Crowe), has the dubious fortune of both an old friendship with Collins and a ruthless editor, Cameron (Helen Mirren), who has assigned him to investigate. As he and partner Della (Rachel McAdams) try to uncover the killer’s identity, McCaffrey steps into a cover-up that threatens to shake the nation’s power structures. And in a town of spin-doctors and wealthy politicos, he will discover one truth: when billions are at stake, no one’s integrity, love or life is ever safe.” (Source: Coming Soon)
Director Macdonald said that State of Play explores the topical subjects of journalistic independence and the relationship between politicians and the press. Well, judging from this State of Play movie trailer I’d say that the film just plays with the usual prejudices of Hollywood against politicians…
In the role of the young politician they should have chosen a black actor: Ben Affleck is a great actor besides being handsome, but with an Afro-American actor State of Play would have been more in touch with the new paradigm of America’s political world!
Hope to get some preview clips of State of Play soon.

“This movie [Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian] is in five different museums, brings artworks to life, aircrafts, rockets, astronauts it’s a way bigger adventure. And we’re proud of the first movie but this one is bigger in scope, it’s more visual, it’s every bit as funny and it may even more emotional because of the love story [between Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) and Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams)].”
Director Shawn Levy
Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian is a movie that can positively influence a childhood: bring your kids to watch it!
