Plot synopsis:
“The Black family is getting out of Chicago in hopes of a better life. After Carl Black (Mike Epps) recently came into some unexpected fund$. Carl takes his family and leaves the hustling lifestyle behind for something better. Carl, his wife Lorena (Zulay Henao), son Carl Jr., daughter Allie Black (Bresha Webb) and cousin Cronut (Lil Duval) pack up and move to Beverly Hills.
Turns out, Carl couldn’t have picked a worse time to move. They arrive right around the time of the annual purge, when all crime is legal for twelve hours.”

The film is directed by Deon Taylor based on a script he co-wrote with Nicole DeMasi. It will be released in theaters on April 1, 2016.

Plto synopsis:
“When the Black family inherits one million dollars, they leave Detroit and all their debts and problems behind for a better life in Beverly Hills. But what they don’t know is that it’s the annual purge night in Beverly Hills, where all crime is legal for twelve hours.”

The film is directed by Deon Taylor and the cast includes Mike Epps, Zulay Henao, Bresha Webb, George Lopez, Gary Owen, Lil Duval, Mike Tyson, Tiny Cottle, Perez Hilton, Paul Mooney, and Charlie Murphy .

Back in November a rather disparaging teaser trailer was released for Meet the Blacks, the upcoming parody comedy thriller movie directed by Deon Taylor and starring Mike Epps:

The film is helmed by an Afro-American director and the main cast mostly includes black actors. That said, I don’t understand why the marketing team behind Meet The Blacks would think this Black Friday video was a good idea…

Let’s hope the next movie trailer will actually focus on the film!

Besides Mike Epps, the cast also includes Zulay Henao, Bresha Webb, George Lopez, Gary Owen, Lil Duval, Mike Tyson, Tiny Cottle, Perez Hilton, Paul Mooney, and Charlie Murphy.
