Raised by a small group known as the “True Believers,” the orphaned girl has been safeguarded from harmful outsiders who would use her forces for personal gain. But now that she is 10, her powers have become stronger, and the threat has grown more dangerous.
With her life and future now in jeopardy, the “Believers” turn to the only person they see fit to be her full-time protector. That is, once they break him out of jail. Tate, a wrongfully imprisoned death row inmate who’s lost his will, is initially reluctant – until he witnesses one of her extraordinary abilities. Bo sees people for who they truly are… and who they may become.
Tate and Bo begin their journey, one in which trust must be earned. Traveling from city to city, every place they stop and everyone they meet will be changed forever. Thanks to Nickelodeon here’s a first official trailer for Book 2 of Legend of Korra, the awesome animated TV series
The Legend of Korra – Book 2: Spirits
Plot:
“Book 2 takes place six months after the first twelve episodes. It will focus on the mystical ‘Spirit World’ and the history of the Avatar lineage and mythology.
Unhappy and angry spirits begin to surface in the physical world. As the link between the two realms, Korra must not only keep the physical world safe from unearthly interlopers, but she must also learn what has provoked the spirits and restore balance between the spirit world and the physical world.”
From what I heard half of Book 2 will take place in Republic City and the other half will take place in other areas of the world. And two episodes will focus on Wan (voiced by Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead), the bender who becomes the first Avatar as a result of his attempts to balance the human and spirit worlds.
Season 2 of The Legend of Korra will premiere on Nickelodeon sometime in September 2013.
