The Philosophers Movie Trailer

Thanks to Bankside Films we may watch the official movie trailer of The Philosophers, a mysterious upcoming science-fiction thriller movie written and directed by John Huddles:

THE PHILOSOPHERS
Plot:
“At an international school in Jakarta, a brilliant but mysterious philosophy teacher challenges his class of twenty graduating seniors to undertake one final thought experiment in order to complete the requirements for graduation. The experiment is to be the most extreme they have ever had to face. Using the power of logic alone, the students must choose which of them would be worthy of a place in an underground shelter and reboot the human race in the event of a nuclear apocalypse. The shelter only has space for ten people, which means certain death for those that are not chosen.”

Does the human race really deserve to survive its own apocalypse? Anyway, philosophy just got interesting thanks to this film!

There’s also a poster:

The film is starring James D’Arcy, Sophie Lowe, Daryl Sabara, Freddie Stroma, Rhys Wakefield, Bonnie Wright, Jacob Artist, George Blagden, Erin Moriarty, Katie Findlay. The film should be released sometime in 2013.

The official poster:

Well, I wish Joss Whedon would rather work on the Avengers movie sequel rather than wasting his time on a not-so-interesting genre film… What about you? Thrilled about Joss Whedon’s foray into genre film? Or are you dying to see The Avengers 2?

Release date: June 21, 2013.

The Rover Movie starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson

The Rover is an upcoming crime drama movie directed by David Michod and based on a script he co-wrote with Joel Edgerton. The film is starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson. There’s no official release date yet.

A bearded Guy Pearce and a scruffy Robert Pattinson have been spotted on the set of The Rover:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“The Rover is set in the Australian desert in a dangerous and dysfunctional near future. Eric (Guy Pearce) has left everything and every semblance of human kindness behind him. When his last possession, his car, is stolen by a gang of dangerous criminals, Eric sets off to track them down and is forced along the way to enlist the help of Reynolds (Robert Pattinson), the naive member of the gang left behind in the bloody chaos of the gang’s most recent escape.”

What do you think of Robert Pattinson flashing crooked teeth?

Besides Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson, the cast also includes Scoot McNairy, Anthony Hayes, Gillian Jones, Susan Prior and David Field.

Yep, even Randall Boggs, one of the two main antagonists in Monsters, Inc., went to Monsters University!

Storm Shadow GI Joe 2 Retaliation

This new featurette of GI Joe 2 Retaliation focuses on Storm Shadow, the character played by South Korean Actor Byung-hun Lee:

GI Joe Retaliation – Storm Shadow
Plot:
“Framed for crimes against the country, the G.I. Joe team is terminated by the President’s order, and the surviving team members face off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.”

Storm Shadow is even angrier than in the first film, he’s burning with rage… Well, if he can’t control himself, then he’s still a far cry from having a Zen Attitude, and I guess Snake Eyes (Ray Park) will just kick his ass as usual!
