Interesting to learn that Will Smith suggested his idea for the script of Bad Boys 3: this means he’s probably pushing for the film to be done, so there is hope indeed!

The mandarin is the most likely villain in the movie Iron Man 3, even Jon Favreau kind of agrees with that:

He has 10 magical rings — that just doesn’t feel right for our franchise. So it’s either tech-based, or the rings are not really rings. But maybe with ‘Thor’ and all those others, you’ll introduce magic to that world and it won’t seem so out of place.”

I’m all for the Mandarin as long as they respect the source material: in the comic books the Mandarin is a Chinese guy, not a terrorist from Afghanistan. I don’t know who could play as the Mandarin though… Maybe Jet Li? What do you think? Who would you suggest for the role of the Mandarin in Iron Man 3?

Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod co-directing Bel Ami, an upcomign drama movie based on the short story of the same name by Guy de Maupassant. The film is starring Robert Pattinson, Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Colm Meaney, and Philip Glenister. The film should be released in 2010.
