Previous plans of carrying the Saw movie franchise until at least Saw 8 could well be scrapped according to Scriptwriter Marcus Dunstan. So as a result Saw 7 would be the last Saw movie:
“I think it’s going to end with Saw VII. I have a very strong feeling it’s going to end with Saw VII. That’s something we’re debating now. You saw in previous interviews or discussions where we thought Saw VIII would be the last one where we had the first trilogy and the second trilogy and then sort of a grand finale wrapped up in two films. But frankly because Saw VI hasn’t performed as well as we anticipated, the idea is well why make two movies when we can make one really excellent movie that wraps up as best we can? And it’s going to be in 3D which sort of adds to the spectacle. So if you had to ask me, I don’t own the franchise, nor do I run the studio, but I have a feeling, a strong feeling that it’s going to be Saw VII which will be also known as Endgame. And nothing’s official yet, but that’s where we’re hoping things will go.”
Scriptwriter Patrick Melton
Well, since Lionsgate has forced Kevin Greutert to leave Paranormal Activity 2 to come back to direct Saw 7, I guess the Saw series has been kind of cursed by some evil demon. So maybe time for the Saw series to come to an end, yep…
:/
Have you ever wondered why Captain America is wearing a flag costume? Well, Joe Johnston wants to answer this unraised question in his upcoming Captain America movie:
“The costume is a flag, but the way we’re getting around that is we have Steve Rogers forced into the USO circuit. After he’s made into this super-soldier, they decide they can’t send him into combat and risk him getting killed. He’s the only one and they can’t make more. So they say, ‘You’re going to be in this USO show’ and they give him a flag suit. He can’t wait to get out of it.
It was never in the comics, because they didn’t really need it. In comics, he puts on the costume and the reader just justifies because of the nature of the medium.”
Director Joe Johnston
Let’s hope that they will let us see the costume made for this Captain America movie soon!
