Greenberg is an upcoming movie written and directed by Noah Baumbach. It is starring Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans, Mark Duplass, Brie Larson, Juno Temple , and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The film is set for a release on March 12, 2010. Here below the first official movie trailer of Greenberg:

Plot:
“At a crossroads in his life, Roger Greenberg (Ben Stiller) ends up housesitting at his brother’s home in Los Angeles. There, he strikes up an unlikely friendship with his brother’s assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer. Florence and Greenberg’s encounters lead to an uncertain and wonderfully vulnerable courtship.”

The movie Greenberg is more drama than comedy: I am quite surprised to see Stiller in this role. I wonder how the film is going to turn out. Just judging from the trailer of Greenberg, it could be an interesting movie.

Dreamworks is producing a new Shrek movie. This fourth, and mostly final, Shrek movie is titled Shrek Forever After, aka Shrek 4. It will be released on May 21, 2010. The film will be in 3D.

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are back together for the movie Universal Soldier 3, aka Universal Soldier Regeneration. The film is directed by John Hyams and is set for a direct-to-DVD release on DVD February 2, 2010. Here below the official movie trailer of Universal Soldier 3:

The movie looks a bit cheesy and outdated… The first Universal Soldier movie was really something new, it did bring something to the world of science fiction. But Universal Soldier 3 is just a bland variation on an old theme… I’d suggest to watch Gamer again than the movie Universal Soldier 3 if you really want to watch an explosive sci-fi action movie.

“The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved step-father at the Garuda’s Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) and the Kana Khone villagers. The first official movie trailer of Beastly, the upcoming fantasy drama movie starring Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mary-Kate Olsen, has been released:

“When a spell is cast on a handsome egocentric young man (Alex Pettyfer) that physically transforms him into everything he despises, he has one year to find a young woman (Vanessa Hudgens) who will love him despite his hideous form or the spell will last forever.”

The movie is based on Alex Flinn’s book of the same name. Some are touting this film as a potential competitor to Twilight, but it’s unlikely to perform as well… Still the movie Beastly may interest, if not convert, a significant part of the Twilight fans.

Entertainment Tonight had the chance to visit the set of Knight and Day, the upcoming comedy movie directed by James Mangold and starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz:

KNIGHT AND DAY Set Visit

“A woman (Cameron Diaz) who has terrible luck with men finds her path intertwined with that of a mysterious handsome man (Tom Cruise) she meets on a blind date.”

I suppose ET visited the set of Knight and Day when the crew was still in the USA. But they have since moved to Sevilla in Spain. Here’s a clip of Knight and Day, it was taken by a passer-by on his phone cam:

Looks like Tom Cruise is hell bent on doing all the stunts of Knight and Day himself.
