The movie Percy Jackson is directed by Chris Columbus, it’s based on the book series written by Rick Riordan. I don’t really expect this to be a new Harry Potter, but it could compete with movies like Narnia.

Stone is an upcoming drama thriller movie directed by John Curran based on a play by Angus MacLachlan. The film is starring starring Edward Norton, Robert de Niro and Milla Jovovich. It should be released in 2010. Here’s the movie trailer of Stone:

Paranormal Activity is an upcoming horror movie wriiten and directed by Oren Peli. They didn’t have a huge budget to make the movie: barely $11,000, and filming was wrapped over the period of one week. But they got a real new concept: forget Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity is way better! And a positive word of mouth has followed screening of the film in festivals. Now it’s been picked up by Paramount. There is a limited release on September 25, 2009. But expect this release to go wide quite soon. Perlan is a funky glass dome building that sits atop a hill overlooking Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Inside this landmark building there are shops, a restaurant, and the Saga Museum. The saga museum tells you about the Icelandic sagas as well as some other history. It also shows you how Icelanders used to live and how they live now.

– the church of Hallgrimur:

The Hallgrimskirkja (literally, the church of Hallgrimur) is Lutheran parish church. The church is named after the Icelandic poet and clergyman Hallgrimur Petursson (1614 to 1674), author of the Passion Hymns (a book that’s part of the Icelandic culture). Construction took time from 1945 to 1986. That building could fit perfectly well in the world of Starcraft!
