Inception is the new sci-fi movie directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. A trailer of Inception is shown in front of Inglourious Basterds in a few selected theaters. There is no denying Keith David is bringing a lot to his character! His voice makes Dr. Facilier look so real! And I start to think that the most interesting character won’t be Tiana the princess or the Frog, but rather this mean Dr. Facilier! He’s got style!

They really care for details at Disney: an animated movie, it’s more than just animation, voices account for a lot indeed! I’m now confident that The Princess and the Frog will be a great movie.

The first-person shooter video game BioShock seems closer to get a movie adaptation. A year ago, Director Gore Verbinski was announced to helm the project, but it was then put on hold by the studio because of an excessive budget. But the buzz around the Bioshock movie is now reigniting: according to the rumor Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) seems likely to take over the project.

Plot:
“A plane-crash survivor discovers an underwater utopia of sinister origins.”

IMDB is still listing the movie Bioshock for a release in 2010. But it will more likely be released in 2011 I think.

The movie trailer of Youth in Revolt is out since a few days and I wasn’t in a hurry to watch it. But I’m actually positively surprised: this Youth in Revolt trailer promises a great comedy movie!

Benicio del Toro is a hungry werewolf in the Wolf Man, an upcoming horror movie directed by Joe Johnston:

Tiana is a black girl but the frog is actually a white guy. A few people were bugged by Disney’s choice, but I’m all for movies featuring interracial unions: it’s the future of the country after all (just check the last census!), and it’s good to see that Hollywood is adjusting to the reality!

Actress Gillian Anderson said that she’s ready to reprise her role as Scully for a new X-Files movie. And according to the rumor, the movie X-Files 3 is in preparation and should be filmed in 2012. That date may ring a bell for X-Files fans. Not so long ago Scriptwriter-producer Frank Spotnitz even hinted at 2012 as a possible plot element for the next X-Files movie sequel:

“As you know the date of December 2012 is an important one in ‘The X-Files,’ and I’d like to focus on that.”
