Priest is an other movie starring Paul Bettany, but this time he goes on the other side, as a Christian priest who’s hellbent on tracking the vampires who captured his dear niece. The film is directed by Scott Stewart. Priest is set for a release on August 13, 2010.

The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa’s District 9 as the world’s nations argued over what to do with them. Patience over the alien situation ran out and control over them was contracted out to Multi-National United (MNU), a private company uninterested in the aliens’ welfare. MNU stands to receive tremendous profits if they can make the aliens’ advanced weaponry work.
MNU, thus far, has failed in making the alien weaponry work, for activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA. Tension between the aliens and the humans comes to a head when an MNU field operative, Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley), through playing around with an alien device, contracts a mysterious virus that begins changing his DNA. Wikus quickly becomes the most hunted man in the world, as well as the most valuable, for he is the key to unlocking the secrets of alien technology. Van der Merwe becomes ostracized and friendless and comes to hide in District 9.”

Judging from the painting on the wall, those aliens aren’t so friendly… So no wonder people at the MNU are trying to protect us! But let’s not forget that there are two sides to every coin… So let’s not take at face value everything that comes from the MNU…

Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx are the two lead stars of Law Abiding Citizen, an upcoming drama thriller film directed by F. Gary Gray. The film is about a prosecutor who tries to hinder a man from orchestrating a well-organized revenge place. The Law Abiding Citizen movie is set to to hit theaters on October 16, 2009.

I can understand why Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) would want revenge. But our society is based on law. We can’t afford to allow vengeful people to do as they want even when they would be in their right. If we did it would break the very basis of our democratic society. So let’s hope that Shelton won’t be able to carry out his revenge for the sake of the society, but that real justice will be brought.

The feud between Lycans and Vampires is far from over yet, a new underworld movie is indeed being planned by Screen Gems. They’re aiming to release Underworld 4 in January 2011.

We don’t know yet if Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy and Rhona Mitra (or Kate Beckinsale who played in previous Underworld movies) will be back for this fourth Underworld movie. But we may fairly bet that at least Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy will be back to reprise their roles.

Underworld 4 will jump in the 3D bandwagon: this promises gorgeous fight scenes between Lycans and Vampires in Underworld 4!

No word yet about the plot of Underworld 4 (prequel or sequel?), so feel free to make suggestions below!

Terminator Salvation was not much praised by the hard-core Terminator fans, but the film did pretty well worldwide. And movie sequel is definitely planned. Director McG has been talking to IGN about Terminator 5:

“One of the problems is that in a post-apocalyptic world, everybody’s a little bummed out because your brother melted… your friends are gone. Everything went haywire. So the idea is to play with one of the tried and true rules of the franchise – time travel – and introduce it in this picture. I don’t want to share too much, but let’s just say it’s very, very likely that John Connor is going to end up running through rooms like this where he knows something that none of us know. And I think that is a platform for great storytelling. Because I always love it when [Kyle] Reese is in our world, as you saw in the first picture, and everybody thinks he’s out of his [expletive] mind and he knows and he can’t afford to be concerned. And he’s got to convince someone he cares about to come with him! And that’s one of the engines. And we’ll have a much more clearly defined antagonist in the new picture. It will be more of a chase movie with a new Terminator that is on your ass. “

Mcg is taming down the potential plot (that was about an all-out attack/invasion of Future Skynet into our time) he previously revealed for Terminator 5. Now it sounds like John Connor would come back to our time with ‘only’ a nasty Terminator to chase him (yep like in ‘good old time’).

Well, he should stick to the invasion plot rather than planing one more useless chase movie.
