Hitman Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) still has some issues with his heart in the movie Crank 2, aka Crank High Voltage. With pretty girls all around, one can but understand him. here below some picture of Crank 2:
Plot of Crank High Voltage:
“Hitman Chev Chelios (Statham) launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered heart that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.”
To sum up: in Crank 2 Statham has to stay charged to stay alive!
Crank 2 will be released on April 17, 2009.

Life is tough in time of recession. But it could be worse: imagine if you had the Grim Reaper nastily going after you! Just look at this new still of Final Destination 4:
What an horrific picture! I can but agree quote Iszaham who tipped us about this pic: “this is wicked!”
Final Destination Death Trip 3D is the summer movie 2009 that will give you goosebumps!

A new batch of preview clips of the new Street Fighter movie, aka Street Fighter The Legend of Chun-Li, has shown up online. Those new clips do no look as good as we may have expected from the earlier clip we’ve seen… I especially appreciate Moon Bloodgood’s performance (can’t say more, my wife checks this blog from time to time…)!
More clips of this Chun-Li movie: Continue reading »
Three new pictures of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, upcoming movie starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, have shown up:
There is no doubt that Robert Downey Jr.’s interpretation of Sherlock Holmes will be in stark contrast with the former Sherlock Holmes movies: Downey’s version of Sherlock Holmes is a man that could run for the title of sexiest man of the year! I can tell as much for Jude Law as Dr. Watson. Director Guy Ritchie did bring a new life to the story created by Athur Conan Doyle!
The movie Sherlock Holmes will be released on December 25, 2009.

What movies from this list are you waiting for and why?
We’ve got two new international posters of Fast and Furious, upcoming movie starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker:
Michelle Rodriguez is quite cute compared to the previous poster.
Not sure there is a connection, but this Fast and Furious poster and the US poster of the new Street Fighter movie must have been designed under the same influence…

Director Alejandro Amenabar is bringing us an historical drama movie that revolves around astrologer-philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria (Rachel Weisz) and her relationship with her slave Davus (Max Minghella). Here below the first movie trailer of Agora thanks to Slashfilm:
Alexandria, Egypt
391 Anno Domini
The world is going to change forever.
For a woman Hypatia was benefiting from an incredible freedom in this ancient time, though this was played against her at the end… We could say that she was an early feminist, a courageous and intelligent woman whose life was defying the prejudices of her time!
Director Amenabar went to the Island of Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea to film Agora. Huge sets were built for the occasion. So well built, that we will feel like transported back to Antic Egypt!

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is Director Terry Gilliam’s upcoming fantasy movie. Heath Ledger had a lead role as the conman Tony, but he passed away in the midst of production.
Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Movie Cast
But Terry Gilliam had the great idea to use a plot trick to finish the movie to honor the work done by Heath Ledger. Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law pay tribute to the actor by filling in for the remaining scenes Heath Ledger didn’t have the time to film.
Cinematographer Nicola Pecorini worked on the film and he published a nice picture on his site (here) thanks to which we may see for the first time Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law in their respective versions of Tony, the role they’re sharing with Heath Ledger:
Below you may have a close look:
Now you’re probably wondering what the Doctor Parnassus may look like, here he is:
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will be a strange movie for sure! But I’m confident it will be interesting.

Summit Entertainment is definitely optimistic regarding its movie adaptation of the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer. The first Twilight movie in 2008 was a real jackpot. So we may understand the keen dedication of the production company to bring New Moon this 2009. Now, dear Twilight fans, fasten your seat belts because Summit is fast-tracking the movie Eclipse, aka Twilight 3: the release date of the movie Eclipse has been set for June 30, 2010!
The full trailer of Twilight 3 Eclipse:
The previous short Eclipse teaser:
More details at: Eclipse Movie Trailer
The word is that Summit is rushing with the adaptation both to compound on the success of the first movie and to lock in a deal with Stephenie Meyer before the value of the franchise skyrockets again.
Plot – Synopsis:
“As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death.”
We can bet that the movie will be titled The Twilight Saga Eclipse, following the decision made for New Moon’s title.
New Moon’s director Chris Weitz won’t be helming Twilight 3 because of conflicting schedules: he will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will start shooting.
But of course Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be back for this Eclipse movie, respectively as Edward the Vampire, Bella the undecided young lady, and Jacob the newly assumed Werewolf.
What part of Eclipse would you like this Twilight 3 movie to put focus on?
Update as of April 22, 2009: Summit Entertainment has announced that Director David Slade, who once brought us the vampire movie ’30 Days of Night’, will be helming the twilight movie Eclipse. Here’s what David Slade looks like:
Do you think that David Slade is a good choice to direct the movie Eclipse?
Update 1: the first official picture of the Twilight Saga Eclipse has been released!
Aren’t Bella and Edward cute together?

The lucky bastards from Empire Magazine (here) have successfully schemed to get the premiere of the Inglourious Basterds movie posters. There are even three of them, and they’re much more appealing than the previous artwork we received some hours ago:
INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
Once upon a time in Nazi-occupied France…
The New Film by Quentin Tarantino
2009
Such movie posters are sure to become cult! But from the previous trailer I would not have expected such poster for Inglourious Basterds. So I think that violence will go crescendo in the film, somewhat close to the way Kill Bill was done by Quentin Tarantino.
:)
Are you longing for your weekly Stargate fix? It’s quite hard for me since the end of Stargate Atlantis. Fortunately there is a new Stargate Franchise that will keep alive the Stargate dream. The new series is titled Stargate Universe.
Below, thanks to Tijuana a teaser of Stargate Universe that was shown after the end credits of the last Stargate Atlantis episode:
Stargate Universe Teaser Trailer
The journey home is the greatest adventure of all!
Stargate Universe will start to air Summer 2009. The sooner the better because I really miss Stargate! So I wait for Stargate Universe with impatience!

A first official poster of Battle for Terra, the upcoming science-fiction 3D animated movie from independent studio MeniThings, has been unveiled:
The 3D adventure begins May 1st
Plot:
“A peaceful alien planet faces annihilation, as the homeless remainder of the human race sets its eyes on Terra. Mala, a rebellious Terran teenager, will do everything she can to stop it.”
In real life I hope that if Mankind’s survival was at stake we would not hesitate to nuke the aliens from above! The story of Battle for Terra is nice indeed to follow: but Mankind first hey!
;-)
Fellow movie fan Iszaham tipped us about this Korean poster of the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus that surfaced online a week ago:
Too bad I don’t read Korean! Shall tryt o get a translation to better understand this poster of the Doctor Parnassus movie.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is the last movie Heath Ledger was working on before he passed away. Only half of the movie was wrapped when the sad event happened. But Director Terry Giliam wanted to honor the actor’s work, so he has managed to keep Heath Ledger’s scenes by using a plot twist. As a result the role of Tony the conman is shared between Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law.
:)
