Director Rob Zombie is back for Halloween2, a movie sequel to his remake of Halloween. The new film will take place directly after the end of his remake. But this time it will focus on Laurie Strode, the sister the crazy and evil Michael Myers hunted.
Here below a teaser poster of Halloween 2, aka H2:
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster: they’re all back for Fast and Furious, the fourth installment of this high-octane movie franchise!
:)
Will be easier for Lionsgate to promote the film under the title of Citizen Game.
Plot:
“Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Gerard Butler) from a game called ‘Slayers’ looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind (Hall)”
Paramount, confident in the success of JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movie, is already thinking about a movie sequel to Star Trek. Well, Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof have been hired to write the script of the movie Star Trek 2.
“Obviously we discussed ideas, but we are waiting to see how audiences respond next month. With a franchise rebirth, the first movie has to be about origin. But with a second, you have the opportunity to explore incredibly exciting things. We’ll be ambitious about what we’ll do.”
This news makes my day! I’m impatient to see the movie Star Trek and I am damn glad to know there will be a movie sequel. Bring the movie Star Trek II as soon as possible!

Director Martin Scorsese has enlisted Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo for the lead roles as U.S. marshalls in his upcoming mystery thriller movie Shutter Island. The film is based on the 2003 novel of the same name written by Dennis Lehane. Production started in March 2008. Shutter Island is slated to be released on October 2, 2009.
Here below the first official movie poster of Shutter Island:

What happened to patient 67?
Plot:
“In 1954, two U.S. marshals investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane on an island in Massachusetts. They run into trouble when they are deceived by others, a hurricane hits and when an inmate riot traps them on the island.”
Here’s the trailer of Shutter Island:
Never read the book but the plot sounds like an ideal setting for scary scenes. And judging from this insane Shutter Island teaser poster, the film is likely to encroach on the horror genre.
Stranded on a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts, I doubt I’d go after some crazy soul… What would you if you were on Shutter Island?
:)
The Plot:
“The inhabitants of Planet 51 live in fear of alien invasion. Their paranoia is realized when an astronaut arrives from Earth. Befriended by a young resident, he has to avoid capture in order to recover his spaceship and try to return home.”
Look at the pet of this alien family: it’s a combination of a usual dog with the monster from the movie Alien!

Nothing really new, just the Twilight Saga New Moon movie logo on a black panel. But it’s a proof that things are ramping up for the upcoming twilight New Moon movie.

The marketing team in charge of promoting the new Fast and Furious movie is heavily relying on the hype about the original cast (Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster). The problem is that nobody really cares about it: most people will only go for Vin Diesel, aka Mr, Clean, er, I mean Dominic Toretto. And we all know what we want the focus of Fast and Furious to be: great cars and pretty girls!

The Time Traveler’s Wife, upcoming movie based on the book of the same name written by Audrey Niffenegger, finally gets a release date: it should hit theaters on August 14, 2009.
Principal photography finished last year. But they had to shoot one more scene. And because Eric Bana was skinhead for his role as Nero the Romulan in Star Trek (in which he time travels too!), they had to wait for his hair to grow back…
Rather a lame excuse… But well that’s what Rachel McAdams reported… She plays the time traveler’s wife in the movie.
The Time Traveler’s Wife is a romantic sci-fi drama about a Chicago librarian (Bana) with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage.
The film is said to emphasize the romantic side more than the sci-fi part, but I’m still interested in seeing it this Summer.
The movie trailer of the Time Traveler’s Wife is now available:
