SUPER DARK TIMES

A film by Kevin Phillips

Plot synopsis:
“Set in a small American town in the 1990s, Super Dark Times tells the story of Zach (Owen Campbell) and Josh (Charlie Tahan), two teenagers who’ve been best friends since childhood. Their lives have been largely uneventful, their days filled with bike rides, after school snacks and video games. They have almost everything in common, including a crush on Allison Bannister (Elizabeth Cappuccino).
In an instant, everything changes. A mundane afternoon takes an abrupt and violent turn when an accident leaves their friend Daryl (Max Talisman) face down on the ground, bleeding to death from a wound in his neck. Panicked, the boys hide what evidence they can, cover Daryl’s body with leaves and swear one another to secrecy.
But news like this spreads fast. Soon the whole town is talking about the missing boy. Zach is overcome with guilt. The simple world he’s known becomes a surreal minefield of nightmares and grief. Josh on the other hand seems to shut down entirely. He stops going to school, stops leaving the house at all.
Days ago the two boys were inseparable, but now the emotional distance between them might well be insurmountable. When another of their classmates is found dead, Zach fears that Daryl’s death was only the beginning.”

Those two boys should man up…

When Michael meets Ana, their shared Armenian heritage sparks an attraction that explodes into a romantic rivalry between the two men. The one promise that must be kept is to live on and tell the story.”
