MAD TO BE NORMAL
Plot synopsis:
“The film reveals the story of R.D. Laing, the famous psychiatrist and one of Scotland’s greatest ever minds. Working out of Kingsley Hall in East London throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Laing performed various daring experiments on people who were diagnosed as mentally disturbed. His revolutionary methods involved experimenting with LSD on his patients and practicing a form of self-Âhealing known as metanoia, causing outrage and controversy in the medical profession and radically changing attitudes and perceptions of mental health around the world.”

FAIR HAVENPlot synopsis:
“A young man returns to his family farm, after a long stay in ex-gay conversion therapy, and is torn between the expectations of his emotionally distant father, and the memories of a past, loving relationship he has tried to bury.”
I don’t think a “conversion therapy” can really change a person’s sexual orientation…

You may watch below the official trailer of Donald Cried, the upcoming drama comedy movie directed by Kris Avedisian based on a script he co-wrote with Kyle Espeleta and Jesse Wakeman and starring Kris Avedisian and Jesse Wakeman:
DONALD CRIEDPlot synopsis:
“Director/writer/star Kris Avedisian expertly deconstructs the contemporary obsession with the “man-child” in this darkly funny story about former childhood best friends who reconnect decades later in their working-class Rhode Island neighborhood. Peter Latang (Jesse Wakeman) left his childhood home to reinvent himself as a slick Wall Street mover and shaker. When he’s forced to return home to bury his grandmother, he loses his wallet on the trip. Stranded and broke, Peter looks to the only person he can think of to help him out—his next-door neighbor and former childhood friend Donald (played by Avedisian). The ever-eccentric Donald hasn’t changed a bit, and what starts as a simple favor turns into a long and unhinged van ride into their past. Avedisian’s pitch-perfect first feature is a brilliant twist on the family-reunion melodrama and the classic buddy comedy.”
Would you want Donald to be your friend?
